The Progress Chapter Two: The March Of Progress was a professional wrestling event promoted by Progress Wrestling. It took place on June 24, 2012, in London, England at The Garage. [2] The event also featured various wrestlers from International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom (IPW:UK). [3]
The event included matches that each resulted from scripted storylines, where wrestlers portrayed heroes, villains, or less distinguishable characters in scripted events that built tension and culminated in a wrestling match or series of matches. Results were predetermined by Progress' creative writers, [4] while storylines were produced on Progress' events airing on the Pivotshare service as VOD events. [5]
Tht event started with the singles confrontation between Stixx and The Lion Kid solded with the victory of the latter. Next up, Mark Andrews defeated Mike Hitchman to retain the BWC Scarlo Scholarship Championship. The third bout saw Noam Dar outmatching Darrell Allen in singles competition. Next up, Danny Garnell defeated Jimmy Havoc in another singles bout. In the fifth match James Davis and Rob Lynch picked up a victory over Alex Esmail and Will Ospreay in tag team action. In the semi main event, El Ligero defeated Greg Burridge and RJ Singh in a three-way match to become the number one contender for the PROGRESS World Championship on further notice. In the main event, Nathan Cruz defeated Marty Scurll in a Best two out of three falls match to secure the first and only defense of the Progress World title in that respective reign. [6]
