Prospero Zannichelli (1698-1772) was a painter from Reggio Emilia, Italy, who was active in Reggio Emilia, Alessandria, Piacenza, and Turin. He was known as a painter of landscapes and decorative scenery. [1]

In the last three years of his short life, he worked alongside Lorenzo Sabbatini in works for the Vatican commissioned by Gregory XIII. The Late Mannerist painter and historian Giovanni Baglione considered Raffaellino's early death a significant loss to art.

Paolo Emilio Besenzi (1608–1656) was an Italian painter, sculptor, and architect of the 17th century, born and active in Reggio Emilia. He lived and worked as a painter, sculptor and architect in Reggio Emilia in the first half of the 17th century. According to Tiraboschi he was sent to France for a short time, at the court of Louis XIII, who would have named him a knight. He trained with Francesco Albani, and was a friend and companion of Lionello Spada. He was buried in the now demolished church of Santa Maria Maddalena, for which he designed the main altar.
Mattia Benedetti was an Italian painter. He was born in Reggio Emilia, and a pupil of Orazio Talami. He active as a fresco painter, active in painting quadratura. He painted the ceiling (1701) of the church of Sant' Antonio at Brescia. In Reggio-Emilia he painted the ceiling of the Capella maggiore of the Monache Bianchi, and the ceiling of the Oratory of the San Filippo Neri. His brother Ludovico or Lodovico was known for painting chiaroscuro and also perspective. Lodovico painted in the church of San Spiridone in Reggio-Emilia, as well as other churches.
