Pun Hlaing International School was an International School using the British Curriculum on the Pun Hlaing Golf Estate in Hlaingthaya Township, Yangon, Burma.
The school was founded in 2014 by Serge Pun & Associates (SPA group) and was managed by Harrow International Management Services, [1] advised by Harrow School in London, England.
In August 2015, the academic and operational management of the school was handed over to Dulwich College International, [2] advised by Dulwich College in London, England.
In August 2016, the school re-opened as a campus of Dulwich College Yangon. Dulwich College Yangon is spread over two campuses in Pun Hlaing and Star City, and educates children from age 2 – 14 years. [3]
The site of the school was originally used by Yangon International School (YIS) as an early years centre.
Yangon, formerly spelled as Rangoon, is the capital of the Yangon Region and the largest city of Myanmar. Yangon served as the capital of Myanmar until 2006, when the military government relocated the administrative functions to the purpose-built capital city of Naypyidaw in north central Myanmar. With over 7 million people, Yangon is Myanmar's most populous city and its most important commercial centre.
Lethwei or Burmese boxing, is a full contact combat sport from Myanmar that uses stand-up striking including headbutts. Lethwei is considered to be one of the most brutal martial arts in the world, as the sport is practiced bareknuckle with only tape and gauze while fighters are allowed to strike with their fists, elbows, knees, and feet, and the use of headbutts is also permitted. Disallowed in most combat sports, headbutts are important weapons in a Lethwei fighter's arsenal, giving Lethwei its name of The Art of 9 Limbs, and deemed one of the bloodiest martial arts. A vast majority of Lethwei fighters originate from the Karen ethnicity.
The University of Yangon, located in Kamayut, Yangon, is the oldest university in Myanmar's modern education system and the best known university in Myanmar. The university offers mainly undergraduate and postgraduate degrees programs in liberal arts, sciences and law. Full-time bachelor's degrees were not offered at the university's main campus after the student protests of 1996. The bachelor's degree was re-offered from 2014 on. Today degrees in Political Science are offered to undergraduate students, as well as postgraduate diplomas in areas such as social work and geology.
The University of Medicine 1, Yangon, located in Yangon, it is the oldest medical school in Myanmar. The university offers M.B., B.S. degrees and graduate degrees in medical science. The university is perhaps the most selective university in the country, and admits approximately 400 students annually based on their University Entrance Examination scores.

The Yangon University of Economics is the finest university of economics and business in Myanmar. Founded as the Section of Economics of Yangon University in 1924, the section became an independent university of higher learning in 1964. The University offers undergraduate and graduate degrees and diplomas, mostly in commerce, statistics and economics. It is also the best business school in the country, offering full-time, executive MBF, MHTM, MMM and MBA degrees.
The "Practising School, Yangon Institute of Education"(Burmese: ပညာရေးတက္ကသိုလ် လေ့ကျင့်ရေးကျောင်း), later, "Practising High School, Yangon University of Education"(Burmese: ရန်ကုန်ပညာရေးတက္ကသိုလ် လေ့ကျင့်ရေးအထက်တန်းကျောင်း) was the name of a high school in Yangon, Myanmar, which is currently called Basic Education Department Practising High School, Kamayut Township. Although it is a high school in the technical sense, TTC's student body comprises students from Grade Kg to Grade Eleven or Matriculation, the highest standard in the Myanmar education system. The origin of the name of the school comes from the fact that TTC is part of the Institute of Education, whose trainee teachers are attached to the school as part of their course.

Hlaingthaya Township is located in the western part of Yangon, Myanmar. One of the biggest and most populous townships in the country with 15% of Yangon's urban population living there, Hlaingthaya also has a major industrial and factory presence. Yangon Circular Railway is the local commuter rail network that serves the Yangon metropolitan area. Operated by Myanmar Railways, the 45.9-kilometre (28.5 mi) 39-station loop system connects satellite towns and suburban areas to the city. Circa 2008–2010, the railway had about 200 coaches, had 20 daily runs, and sold 100,000 to 150,000 tickets daily. The railway is heavily utilized by lower-income commuters, as it is the cheapest method of transportation in Yangon.

Dulwich College Beijing is a British international school with campuses in Beijing, China. It is a branch of Dulwich College, it was the second to join the Dulwich College International (DCI) family of schools, and opened in August 2005. As of 2013 it has over 1,450 students from 12 months to 18 years.

Israel–Myanmar relations refer to the bilateral relations between Israel and Myanmar. The two nations established diplomatic ties in 1953. Israel has an embassy in Yangon, and Myanmar has an embassy in Tel Aviv. The Jewish state has a longtime friendship with Myanmar, which was among the first countries in Asia to recognize Israel's independence and establish diplomatic ties with the young state. There is much cooperation between the two countries especially in the fields of agriculture and education. Myanmar Joins Singapore as a one of two Southeast Asian States that do not recognise the State of Palestine.

Thein Hlaing, known honorifically as Naga Thein Hlaing, was a Burmese surgeon. He was well known for his performance of endocrine surgery in the Naga Hills of northwestern Burma, using local anesthetic only. Since he was able to cure goitre, which local shamans could not do, Thein Hlaing was recognized by the local residents as Naga Nat and was worshiped as a deity.
