Punjabi International Film Academy Awards also known as PIFAA Awards are presented to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals Punjabi Film Industry. The first ever awards function was held in Toronto, Canada in 2012.[ citation needed ] The awards were organized by Parvasi Media Inc. and Canadian Government. The PIFA Awards consist of 15 categories and recognizes Punjabi films from across the world. Punjabi films from Pakistan are also included in a special category. [1]

The awards were vision of Rajinder Saini, President of the Parvasi Entertainment, whose dream was to create high quality awards for Punjabi Cinema just like Bollywood awards functions. Dharmendra was the Brand Ambassador for the 2012 PIFA Awards.

Dharam Singh Deol is an Indian film actor, producer and politician. In 1997, he received the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to Hindi cinema.

The Filmfare Awards, presented by The Times Group, are a set of awards that honour artistic and technical excellence in the Hindi-language film industry of India. The Filmfare ceremony is one of the oldest and most prestigious film events in India. The awards were first introduced in 1954, the same year as the National Film Awards. They were initially referred to as the "Clare Awards" or "The Clares" after Clare Mendonca, the editor of The Times of India. A dual voting system was developed in 1956. The International Indian Film Academy Awards are a set of awards presented annually by the International Indian Film Academy to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in Bollywood, the Hindi language film industry. Instituted in 2000, the ceremony is held in different countries around the world every year with the most recent one being held at the Siam Niramit Theatre in Bangkok, Thailand on 22-24 June 2018.

Filmfare Awards South

Filmfare Awards South is the South Indian segment of the annual Filmfare Awards, presented by The Times Group to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the South Indian film industry. The Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada actors perform their talents on the stage. They were introduced in 1954, around the films released in 1953 and Filmfare Awards initially recognizing the Hindi film industries. In 1964 awards were extended to Best Picture in Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and Marathi, around the films released in 1963. The inclusion of Malayalam cinema in the awards came in 1967 while Kannada cinema was recognized in 1970. Each industry is given its own set of creative awards in annual ceremonies that have predominantly been held in Chennai and Hyderabad.

The Zee Cine Award (ZCA) is an awards ceremony for the Hindi film industry. They were instituted in November 1997 to award "Excellence in cinema - the democratic way".

Anandalok Puraskar or Anandalok Awards ceremony is one of the most prominent film events given for Bengali Cinemas in India. The Anandalok, only film magazine in Bengali language, published from Ananda Publishers and Ananda Bazar Patrika presents this Award (Puraskar). The magazine was started on 25 January 1975 and the awards (Puraskar) ceremony was started in 1998.

The PTC Punjabi Film Awards is a pioneering stage, honouring filmmakers and actors with outstanding achievements in the field of Punjabi Cinema. They are presented annually by PTC Punjabi to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals.

Prag Cine Awards award

Prag Cine Awards are presented annually by Prag News, a satellite television channel from Assam. The Global Indian Music Academy Awards are presented annually by Global Indian Music Academy to honour and recognise Indian music. The nominees are voted by GiMA's jury, who have some of the most respected artistes in the country. GiMA provides a cohesive platform to celebrate and recognize the immense contribution of those who push the boundaries in Indian Music. Global Indian Music Academy Awards honor both film and non-film music in separate categories.
