Putsj[ translation needed ] is a magazine affiliated with the Norwegian environmental organisation Natur og Ungdom (Nature and Youth). [1] The magazine was started in 2000. [2] It is a youth magazine writing about topics related to youth, activism, culture and environmentalism. The headquarters of the magazine is in Oslo. [3]
Putsj is a print and a web magazine. The paper issue is published four times a year. The magazine is designed by Isabelle Poole and edited by Sol Sandvik. In addition to these, idealistic writers, photographers and illustrators contribute to the making of Putsj.
Snøhvit(English: Snow White) is the name of a natural gas field in the Norwegian Sea, situated 140 kilometres (87 mi) northwest of Hammerfest, Norway. The northern part of the Norwegian Sea is often described as the Barents Sea by offshore petroleum companies. Snøhvit is also the name of a development of Snøhvit and the two neighbouring natural gas fields Albatross and Askeladden. Estimated recoverable reserves are 193 billion cubic metres of natural gas, 113 million barrels of condensate, and 5.1 million tonnes of natural gas liquids (NGL). The development comprises 21 wells. The Snøhvit development is operated by Equinor on behalf of six gas companies owning licenses:

Natur og Ungdom (NU) which translates Nature and Youth, also known in English as Young Friends of the Earth Norway, is a Norwegian youth environment protecting organisation. It is the only environmentalist youth organisation in Norway. 7,000 members, in 80 local groups, work on environmental issues all throughout the country. Officially, NU is the youth branch of the Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature. The organisation is led by Gaute Eiterjord.
The Kragerø Line was a 27-kilometer (17 mi) long railway line between Neslandsvatn and Kragerø in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. It was opened on 2 December 1927 as part of the Sørlandet Line. From 10 November 1935, the Sørlandet Line was extended from Neslandsvatn to Arendal, and the Kragerø Line became a branch. It was mostly served with feeder trains, although a through train to Oslo was kept until the 1970s. Falling ridership caused the line to become closed from 1 December 1989, along with many other branch lines. Part of the line remains, although other parts have been demolished.
The Rotvoll controversy refers to a political controversy in Norway in 1991 concerning the construction of a research and development (R&D) facility for Statoil at Rotvoll outside Trondheim.
Bård Lappegård Lahn is a Norwegian environmentalist and writer. He is a researcher at CICERO Center for international climate research in Oslo, with a research focus on climate politics, sociology, and Science and Technology Studies. He has previously worked as an adviser on international climate policy in the Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature, and from 2006 to 2008 he was chairman of the environmental NGO Natur og Ungdom. Prior to his leadership he had been deputy chairman since 2003 and an active member of Natur og Ungdom since the mid-1990s.
Ane Hansdatter Kismul is a Norwegian environmentalist and politician for the Centre Party.
Elin Lerum Boasson is a Norwegian environmentalist and was chairman of Natur og Ungdom in 2001 and 2002. She became active in the organisation in 1991, and joined the board in 1997 before she was elected deputy chairman in 1999. She has a Master of Political Science degree from the University of Oslo and has since 2005 worked at Nansen Institute as a researcher.
Einar Bakke Håndlykken is a Norwegian environmentalist and director of Zero Emission Resource Organisation (ZERO). Håndlykken started with environmentalism as a youth in Grenland Natur og Ungdom, and became deputy chairman of the national organisation in 1997 and in 1999 and 2000 he was chairman. He worked for Bellona from 2001 to 2002, when he co-founded ZERO.
Silje Schei Tveitdal is a Norwegian environmentalist and politician for the Socialist Left Party.
Lars Haltbrekken is a Norwegian environmentalist and was elected to the Parliament of Norway in 2017 for the Socialist Left Party (Norway). He was chairman of Friends of the Earth Norway from 2005 to 2016 after having been deputy chairman from 2003 to 2005. Haltbrekken was also chairman of Natur og Ungdom in 1995 and 1996. In between the two leaderships he worked primarily trying to prevent natural gas power plants in Norway, and was chairman of Fellesaksjonen mot gasskraftverk. He grew up in Trondheim.
Trillemarka is a 147 km2 (57 sq mi) nature reserve located in Buskerud, Norway. It was created on December 13, 2002, and is located in the hill- and mountain areas between Nore in Numedal and Solevann in Sigdal, partially in the municipalities of Sigdal, Nore og Uvdal, and Rollag. The nature reserve consists of one of the largest natural forest areas in central Østlandet and includes virgin forest and 93 red list species.
The Norwegian Society for the Conservation of Nature, also known as Friends of the Earth Norway, is one of the largest Norwegian environmental organisations with approximately 24,000 members. The organisation is based on a volunteer work among the members, constituting work both at local and national levels. Norges Naturvernforbund works within a large range of environmental areas. The organisation is affiliated with Friends of the Earth, and member of INFORSE-Europe.
Fellesaksjonen mot gasskraftverk is a former environmental organisation that functioned as a binding between various NGOs who were opposed to the construction of fossile gas thermal power plants in Norway. It was created in all secrecy in 1997 and was able to collect about 3,000 people willing to use civil disobedience to hinder the construction, before going public to announce this resistance. The organization was disestablished in 2002.
Klostermølle was originally a watermill, serving the now demolished Voer Abbey once situated nearby. The mill is located at the western end of lake Mossø.
Fritt Ord Award consists of two prizes awarded by the Fritt Ord Foundation. Two prizes are awarded in support of freedom of speech and freedom of expression; the Fritt Ord Award and the Fritt Ord Honorary Award . These are awards are distributed annually during the month of May in connection with the anniversary of the liberation of Norway at the end of World War II in May 1945. Prizes are awarded to one or more persons or organizations that have contributed to areas where the organization works, especially in the work of freedom of expression. In addition to a monetary reward, the award includes a statue by sculptor Nils Aas.

The Danish Outdoor Council is a non-governmental umbrella organisation for organisations active in the promotion of outdoor, recreational activities as well as nature protection interests in Denmark. It was founded on 27 November 1942 and now has 94 member organisations.
Ella Marie Hætta Isaksen is a Norwegian Sami musician from Tana. In 2016 she won the Sámi Grand Prix with her original song Luoddaearru, and in 2017 she won Liet International with the same song. In 2017 Isaksen started the band ISÁK. In October 2018 she won the NRK-show Stjernekamp.
Ingrid Skjoldvær is a Norwegian environmentalist and a former chairperson of the environmental organisation Nature and Youth. She comes from Sortland in Vesterålen and has held several positions in the organisation, most recently as deputy chairman, before she was elected as head of the organisation on 10 January 2016, a position she held until 2017.
