Péni is a department or commune of Houet Province in south-western Burkina Faso. Its capital lies at the town of Péni. [1]

Houet is one of the 45 provinces of Burkina Faso, located in its Hauts-Bassins Region. The capital of Houet is Bobo-Dioulasso. In 2006 the province had a population of 902,662.

The department is composed by the seat, the town of Péni, and 23 villages: Dabokiri, Dissini, Dodougou, Dogossesso, Donfara, Dounousso, Finlande, Gnafongo, Kodara, Koumandara, Lanfiera, Marabagasso, Me, Moussobadougou, Nakaka, Nongondougou, Noumoudara, Samaradougou, Sokourani, Taga, Tapokadeni, Tien and Tiemeredji-Gouegoue.

Rudimentary peni are a British anarcho-punk/deathrock band formed in 1980, emerging from the London anarcho-punk scene. Lead singer/guitarist Nick Blinko is notorious for his witty macabre lyrics and dark pen-and-ink artwork, prominently featured on all of Rudimentary Peni's albums. Blinko is also rumored to have written the band's Pope Adrian 37th Psychristiatric album while resident in a psychiatric hospital. Bassist Grant Matthews has also written a number of songs for the band, though his lyrics primarily focus on sociopolitical themes. Nick Blinko is a British musician and artist, best known as the lead singer, lyricist, and guitar player for the anarcho-punk band Rudimentary Peni. He is also known for being an "outsider" artist, whose pen-and-ink drawings and paintings have been shown in galleries worldwide. Blinko also creates all the drawings used by the band for its artwork.

Municipal elections in Fiji

Fiji has established municipal governments for two cities and ten towns. Each city or town has a council comprising between 8 and 20 members, elected for three-year terms, although the government announced legislation on 15 February 2006 to extend the term to four years. Each city or town council elects from among its own members a Mayor for one year. Consecutive terms are permitted.

Peni Tagive Fijian-Australian rugby league player

Ratu Peni Tagive is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played for the Sydney Roosters in the Australian National Rugby League (NRL) competition. Tagive primarily played on the wing. Although a large winger, Tagive was a speedy athlete, recording 6.79 seconds over 60 metres. Tagive's parents are Fijian and African-American.

Peni Parker is a fictional character from Marvel Comics, a superhero and alternate version of Spider-Man.
