Qorahsin (Somali : Qoraxsin) It is the land west of the Shebelle River, the name Qoraxsin means West or Galbeed in Somali, this Land is suitable for grazing and farming. Qorahsin has significant cultural and historical importance due to the presence and interactions of various Somali clans. It has been a site of historical settlements and migrations, often involving conflicts and alliances among different clan families. The Gaalje'el and Gugundhabe clans, including their subclans such as the Jijeele and Baadicadde, are notably prominent in this region. These clans have shaped the socio-political landscape of Qorahsin through their historical presence and influence over the area.
