Quartiere Coffee is an Italian reggae band from Grosseto, formed in 2004. [1] [2]

History

They debuted in 2008 with the studio album In-A, produced by Ciro "Prince Vibe" Pisanelli, [1] [3] and performed at Rototom Sunsplash on 12 July 2008. [4] [5]

In 2010 they released the single "Sweet Aroma", which became one of the most successful songs of the band. [1] [5] [6] [7] The band won the "Jammin' Contest" of the Heineken Jammin' Festival in July 2010 and they performed as the opening act for Vasco Rossi on 11 July 2011. [1] [6] [8] [9]

Lead guitarist Gianluca Acquilino died on 16 April 2014 at the age of 34 and frontman Kg Man left the band later that year. [1] [10] [11] Keyboardist Filippo "Rootman" Fratangeli became the new leader and vocalist of the band. [1] [12]

In 2016 Quartiere Coffee participated at the Reggaeville's World Reggae Contest, performing at the Ostróda Reggae Festival in Poland. The band ended up second to the Dutch band The Dubbeez. [13] Their fourth album Conscience was released on 5 May 2017. [1] [14] [15]

On 13 November 2020, the band announced the comeback of lead vocalist Kg Man, and the new single "Back in Town" was released on 3 December. [16]

Rototom Sunsplash is a large European reggae festival founded in 1994 in Gaio di Spilimbergo, and since 2010 held in Benicàssim, a few miles north of Valencia, Spain. It attracts thousands of fans from all over the world, thanks to a cultural and musical program that lasts for up to ten days.

Irie Maffia is a Hungarian pop band formed in 2005. Their music is based on reggae and dancehall, which they blend with hip hop, funk and rock. The band also has a sound system formation, where András Kéri sings ragga lyrics on the reggae/dancehall riddims played by band leader Márton Élő and Gáspár Horváth from vinyl records.

Noemi is an Italian singer-songwriter. She rose to fame in 2009, after competing in the second season of Italian talent show X Factor. Immediately after being eliminated from the competition, she released her debut single, "Briciole", which peaked at number 2 on the FIMI Singles Chart. As of 2022, she has released 6 studio albums, which spawned commercially successful singles such as "Vuoto a perdere", "Sono solo parole", "La borsa di una donna", "Glicine" and the chart toppers "L'amore si odia", featuring vocals by Fiorella Mannoia, and "Per tutta la vita". She dueted with Italian band Stadio and with rapper Fedez, among others, and her single "Makumba", a duet with Carl Brave, became a summer hit in 2021. Noemi performed songs for the soundtrack of Italian films Women vs. Men and Domani è un altro giorno, receiving a special Nastro d'Argento award in 2019.

After a short break in his career, King released the 2020 single "JOE". In early January 2022, the roots reggae musician released his second album Rebellution featuring new anthems like: "Trees", "Early Morning" and the title-song of the album "Rebellution".
