Queensland Handball League

The Queensland Handball League is a Brisbane based championship for handball. The Queensland Handball Association was incorporated in 1983 and the competition has been running for most years since then. [1] The winner of this league qualifies for the Australian Handball Club Championship which is a qualifying event for the Oceania Handball Champions Cup.

The winners of these competition qualify for the IHF Men's Youth World Championship and IHF Women's Youth World Championship respectively.

The IHF Emerging Nations Championship is a men's handball tournament organized by the International Handball Federation since 2015, directed to play with emerging teams. Its first edition was held in Kosovo from June 20 to 26.

The Queensland women's state handball team is the state handball team of Queensland which played in the 2009 Women's Oceania Handball Championship and finished runners-up to the Australian national team.

The Sydney University Handball Club is a handball team from the University of Sydney from Sydney, Australia. They are five times Men's National Champions, seven times Men's Oceania Champions and qualified for seven IHF Super Globe competitions. The men's team has won the State Championship eleven times. The women's team has also won the State Championship nine times.

The Oceania Beach Handball Championship is the official competition for senior national beach handball teams of Oceania region. It was first organized by the Oceania Continent Handball Federation in 2013. In addition to crowning the Oceania champions, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the World Championships.

The 2016 Australian Handball Club Championship was again split into two categories, with the beach championships held on Coolangatta Beach in conjunction with the 2016 Oceania Beach Handball Championship in February and the indoor held at Geelong, Victoria between June 2–5, 2016 in conjunction with the 2016 Oceania Handball Champions Cup.

The Australian National Handball Championship consists of four different tournaments across various age groups, including a Junior Section, Schools Tournament, and Australian University Games. In 2016, the Championship ran from 31 August until 9 October.

The 2016 Queensland Handball League is a Brisbane based championship for Handball. It is a home and away structure conducted in April to July 2016, with the winning team qualifying for the National Club Championship. The competition was not held due to a combined Queensland team called the Brisbane Wolves competing in the 2016 Australian Handball Club Championship, 2016 Oceania Handball Champions Cup and the 2016 Australian Handball League.

The New South Wales Handball League is a Sydney based championship for Handball run by The New South Wales Handball Association.

The Handball League Australia (HLA) was an Australian-based championship for handball run by Australian Handball Federation. The principal idea was to play round robin games in each capital city. There are four teams representing four states.

The 2019 Women's Oceania Handball Challenge Trophy was held in New Caledonia from 11 to 16 August 2019.
