Robert Frederick Price (August 6,1890 - July 18,1956) served in the California State Assembly for the 72nd district from 1943 to 1951 [1] and during World War I he served in the United States Army. [2]

Cleo recalled to the Inland Empire Business Press in 1998,that the owner of the market across the street from Davis' gave him the other $300 to make the full down payment. Stater Bros. went public in 1964;Cleo,Leo,and their brother Lavoy sold their interests to the now-defunct Long Beach–based Petrolane Gas Service in 1968. The chain has been owned fully by Stater Bros. Holdings,a subsidiary of La Cadena Investments,owned by Stater's late chairman,president and CEO,Jack H. Brown,since 1986.
Rodman McCamley Price was an American naval officer,businessman,and Democratic Party politician who served as the 17th Governor of New Jersey from 1854 to 1857. He also worked to establish the American government in California and served on the first San Francisco City Council,where he became a real estate tycoon. On February 19,1862,the 37th United States Congress passed An Act to Prohibit the "Coolie Trade" by American Citizens in American Vessels. The act,which would be called the Anti-Coolie Act of 1862 in short,was passed by the California State Legislature in an attempt to appease rising anger among white laborers about salary competition created by the influx of Chinese immigrants at the height of the California Gold Rush. The act sought to protect white laborers by imposing a monthly tax on Chinese immigrants seeking to do business in the state of California.
Clarence Merle "Nibs" Price was an American basketball and football coach. After coaching at San Diego High School,he served as the head football coach at the University of California,Berkeley from 1926 to 1930,compiling the a record of 27–17–3,and the head men's basketball coach at Berkeley from 1924 to 1954,tallying a mark of 453–294. He led the 1946 basketball team to the Final Four. Succeeding Andy Smith as Cal's football coach,Price guided the Golden Bears to the 1929 Rose Bowl,a game infamous for Roy Riegels's wrong-way run. His 1926–27 basketball team finished the season with a 17–0 record and was retroactively named the national champion by the Premo-Porretta Power Poll. Price died on January 13,1968,at the age of 77 in Oakland,California.
Curren De Mille Price Jr. is an American politician of the Democratic Party,currently serving as a Los Angeles city council member for District 9. Price was a California State Senator,representing the state's 26th Senate District which he won in the May 19,2009 special election to fill the seat vacated by Mark Ridley-Thomas. He previously served as a member of the California State Assembly,representing the state's 51st Assembly District. He was first elected to that position in 2006,and was re-elected in 2008. Price resigned as state senator on July 1,2013,to be sworn in as Los Angeles city councilman.
The SF Masonic Auditorium is a building and auditorium located atop Nob Hill in San Francisco,California. The building was designed by Bay Area architect Albert Roller (1891-1981),and opened in 1958. It serves as the meeting venue for the Masons of California during their Annual Communication,as well as being used as a concert venue the rest of the year. The California state special elections,2009 were held on May 19,2009 throughout the state of California. The elections were authorized by the State Legislature and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as a part of a budget signed into law on February 19,2009. Voters voted on six ballot propositions,1A through 1F,for the open 26th State Senate district seat,and in a primary for the open 32nd congressional district seat. All of the propositions except 1F were defeated.

Proposition 61 was a California ballot proposition that appeared on the November 8,2016 ballot. It would have prohibited the state of California from buying any prescription drug from a drug manufacturer at price over the lowest price paid for the drug by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. It would have exempted managed care programs funded through Medi-Cal. According to the fiscal impact statement issued by California Legislative Analyst's Office,"potential for state savings of an unknown amount depending on (1) how the measure’s implementation challenges are addressed and (2) the responses of drug manufacturers regarding the provision and pricing of their drugs."
The 2022 Long Beach mayoral election was held on June 7,2022. Because no candidate reached 50% of the vote,there was a runoff election on November 8,2022. Although incumbent Mayor Robert Garcia was eligible to run for a third term,he opted to run for the U.S. House instead. Rex Richardson was elected mayor,defeating Suzie Price.
