R. Raghu is an Indian film director and television producer who has worked on Telugu and Tamil films and serials. In 2015, he changed his name to David Nathan. He is the son of veteran actor V. K. Ramasamy. [1]

Career

Raghu is an active director since 1990s, and made four consecutive drama films with Karthik in the lead role. [2] He began his career with Vigneshwar (1991) and continued directing films until his final release, Sundara Pandian (1998), where Karthik portrayed dual roles. [3] [4] However he started doing serials and stopped doing films since. In 2015, he changed his name as David Nathan and provided story for Telugu films like Gentleman (2016) and Yuddham Sharanam (2017).

Murali Karthikeyan Muthuraman, better known by his stage name Karthik, is an Indian actor, playback singer and politician who works in Tamil cinema. He is the son of veteran actor R. Muthuraman. Known as Navarasa Nayagan, Karthik was one of the biggest stars in the industry in the 80s and 90s. He was first introduced by Bharathiraja in the Tamil film Alaigal Oivathillai (1981) and became a lead actor in Tamil films eventually. He has also appeared in some Telugu films where he was initially credited as Murali. Karthik is often appreciated for his ability to emote all forms of actions and emotions. He has acted in more than 125 films. He has been the recipient of four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, a Nandi Award and four Filmfare Awards South.

Nerrukku Ner is a 1997 Indian Tamil-language masala film written and directed by Vasanth and produced by Mani Ratnam. The film stars Vijay in the lead role along with Kausalya, Suriya and Simran. while, Raghuvaran, Shanthi Krishna, Baby Jennifer, Karan, Vivek, Manivannan and Prakash Raj play supporting roles. Deva and K. V. Anand handled the music and cinematography respectively. It is the debut film for Suriya, the eldest son of actor Sivakumar. The film opens with the separation of a married couple due to adultery. They soon apply for a divorce, and there is a dispute over the custody of their daughter. When the girl disappears, their respective families realize that she has been kidnapped by a corrupt businessman who seeks revenge against the girl's father.

<i>Unnale Unnale</i> 2007 Indian film

Unnale Unnale is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language musical romantic comedy film The movie is written, cinematograph and directed by Jeeva and produced by Oscar Ravichandran. It stars Vinay, Sadha and Tanisha Mukherjee in lead roles; Srinath, Raju Sundaram and Sathish Krishnan in supporting roles; and Lekha Washington, Aravind Akash, Uma Padmanabhan, and Vasundhara Kashyap in cameo roles. Raju Sundaram also worked as a choreographer in the film. This film marked Vinay's feature film debut and Tanisha's only Tamil film that she ever acted. The soundtrack and flim has received a cult status over the years.

Kaathala Kaathala is a 1998 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao and produced by P. L. Thenappan. The film stars Kamal Haasan, Prabhu Deva, Soundarya and Rambha. It revolves around two men falling in love with two women, but end up creating a web of lies trying to impress their lovers' fathers.

The film was produced by Edida Nageswara Rao on Poornodaya Movie Creations banner and was simultaneously shot in Tamil as Alaigal Oivathillai. Karthik played the lead role in both versions of the film, alongside Mucherla Aruna in this version, marking the career debut for both actors. The film won five Nandi Awards.

Mu. Kalanjiyam is an Indian film director who has made Tamil films. A winner of the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Story Writer, Kalanjiyam has also featured in the lead role in his films.

Manoj Kumar is an Indian film director, producer and actor who has directed Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films and Tamil serials. He is the brother-in-law of Bharathiraja.

S. R. Prabhu is an Indian film producer. During his tenure at Studio Green (2010–13), he has produced 10 Tamil films and distributed 16 films in Tamil and Telugu. Later he founded Dream Warrior Pictures, a film production company in which his brother S. R. Prakashbabu has become partner in 2014. He is also a partner in Potential Studios, which is another film production company. S. R. Prabhu is a relative of the veteran actor Sivakumar and cousin of actors Suriya and Karthi.

Dream Warrior Pictures is an Indian film production company based in Chennai. It was founded in 2010 by brothers S R Prakashbabu and S R Prabhu, who were partners in Studio Green during 2010–2013. They are also relatives of the veteran actor Sivakumar and cousins for actors Suriya and Karthi. They are prominent producers and distributors in India.
