R. Sudharsan is an Indian film editor, who has worked on Tamil language films. He has often collaborated in ventures involving R. Parthiepan and made his debut through Manivannan's Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA (2013).

Career

Sudharsan completed a computer science degree at Kumbakonam Sastra University before choosing to move into film-editing by partaking in a course at Loyola College, Chennai.

Sudharsan made his film debut through Manivannan's Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA (2013) and after the director's death, R. Parthiepan revealed that he would help Sudharsan further his career and gave him the opportunity to edit his next films Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam (2014) and Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga (2017). [1] [2] Sudharsan has also worked on Zero (2016), where Behindwoods.com praised his work and noted " the editor has done a decent job by mapping together real scenes that are heavily layered with CG work". [3] Regarding his work in Oththa Seruppu , a writer wrote that "Of course, the solo act may have ended as a dud without the editor’s (R Sudarshan) work". [4] [5]

Radhakrishnan Parthiban is an Indian actor and film director who works mainly in Tamil cinema. He has directed 16 films, produced 14 films and acted in more than 70 films. He started his career as assistant director for K. Bhagyaraj in 1984 and the duo worked in over 20 films from 1984 to 1991. Parthiban is known for having directed critically acclaimed films such as Pudhiya Paadhai (1989) and House Full (1999) won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. He also won National Film Award – Special Jury Award in Otha Seruppu Size 7 (2019).

Manivannan was an Indian actor, film director, screenwriter, voice artist, playback singer and social activist who worked in Tamil cinema. With over 400 films to his name, Manivannan was one of the most experienced actors in the field and directed exactly 50 films. Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA is a 2013 Indian Tamil-language political satire film directed by Manivannan. A sequel to Amaidhipadai (1994), it stars Sathyaraj in his 200th film, reprising his role as Nagaraja Cholan from the original, alongside an ensemble cast including Seeman, Manivannan, his son Raghuvannan, Mrudula Murali, Komal Sharma and Varsha Ashwathi. The film, featuring music composed by James Vasanthan, was produced by Ravichandran and K. Suresh under the banner of V House Production and shot in Coimbatore and surrounding areas in one single schedule. Unlike the original, Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA opened to mixed reviews. It was Manivannan's 50th and last film as a director and actor, as he died a month after the film's release.

Kathai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam is a 2014 Indian Tamil-language independent satirical drama film written and directed by R. Parthiepan and produced by K. Chandramohan and independent producer, Haresh Vikram Vijayakumar. The project stars an all-new cast along with several experienced actors in cameo roles and becomes Parthiepan's first directorial film in which he does not feature in the lead role. The film, which has a tagline reading "a film without a story", began production in late 2013 and was released on 15 August 2014.

<i>Oththa Seruppu Size 7</i> 2019 Indian thriller film directed by R. Parthiepan

Oththa Seruppu Size 7, simply known as Oththa Seruppu, is a 2019 Indian Tamil-language thriller film produced, written and directed by R. Parthiban under the banner Bioscope Film Framers. The film stars Parthiban himself as the only character. The background score for the film is composed by C. Sathya and the film has only one song, which is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The film entered the Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records for having a single person writing, directing, solo acting and producing a film. It was the third South Indian film to feature a single actor after The Guard and Shanti.

Lallu is an Indian actor and lyricist who works in Tamil-language films. He is known for his collaborations with Rajkumar Periasamy in Rangoon (2017) and Amaran (2024).
