Radha Comics

Radha Comics was an Indian comics publication in the late 1980s and early 1990s. It was published by Radha Pocket Books, Meerut, India. It was published on a monthly schedule with usually four to six comics in each monthly comic-set. The comics were published in Hindi only.

The most successful series published was Shaktiputra. Shaktiputra is a character similar to RoboCop in appearance and abilities. He is a crime fighter cyborg fitted with the brain of inspector Vikram, [1] who devoted his life to become a Half Robot. His inventor was Prof. Padhmanabhan, an eminent scientist of India. His body is made of metal except his face, which too is covered with a helmet. He uses weapons such as a sword, shield, laser revolver and also have a special power in his helmet.

However in his own interview published in the Stardust magazine in 1981, he mentioned the following; "I drink a lot. I started boozing when I left my home town and came to Bombay to become a film hero. I lived in a dingy room in the railway quarters with nothing to eat, but lots to drink. I drank because I was frustrated. I didn’t have any work. I drank to get some sleep, to forget that there were rats running all around the place, that there was a dog sleeping next to me. I drank to relieve the tension. And I only had daaru as my true friend. And again, it was because of this daaru that I gained popularity. Today, if anyone says my name, everyone pictures a bevda. I cannot ditch my friend now. I still drink. The only day when I didn’t touch a drop of liquor was on my wedding day."

Jayant Desai was an Indian film director and producer. After graduating from the University of Bombay Desai joined Ranjit Studios in 1929 where he directed numerous films including Toofani Toli (1937), Tansen (1943), Har Har Mahadev (1950) and Amber (1952). Tansen was the second highest grossing Indian film of 1943. Besides film direction he also acted in several films. In 1943 he left Ranjit Studios to found his own production company, Jayant Desai Productions. In 1960s he founded Jupiter Films and Hemlata Pictures.

Pyar Ka Pehla Naam: Radha Mohan is an Indian Hindi language Supernatural romantic drama television series. Produced by Prateek Sharma under Studio LSD Private Limited. It premiered on 2 May 2022 on Zee TV and digitally streams on ZEE5. It is the official remake of Zee Tamil's series Yaaradi Nee Mohini. It stars Shabir Ahluwalia as Mohan and Niharika Roy as Radha.

Pyaar Ka Pehla Adhyaya: Shiv Shakti is an Indian Hindi-language romantic drama television series that premiered on 3 July 2023 on Zee TV and digitally streams on ZEE5. Produced by Prateek Sharma under Studio LSD Private Limited, it is a spin-off of Pyar Ka Pehla Naam: Radha Mohan. The series stars Arjun Bijlani and Nikki Sharma as Shiv and Shakti respectively.
