Rahamatulla Molla (born 30 March 1987) is an Indian former athlete.

He won a bronze medal as a member of India's 4 x 100 metres relay team at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, which set a national record in the final. [1]

At the 2010 Asian Games he was fourth in the 4 × 100 metres relay, but the result was annulled when it was revealed that teammate Suresh Sathya had tested positive for nandrolone prior to the games. [2]

Personal life

Rahamatulla, the son of a carpenter, is one of six siblings from a Muslim family in West Bengal. [3] He lives in Daqaitmara village which is 60 km away from Kolkata. He has got four brothers and one sister. [4]

The 2010 Commonwealth Games, officially known as the XIX Commonwealth Games and commonly known as Delhi 2010, was an international multi-sport event that was held in Delhi, India, from 3 to 14 October 2010. A total of 4352 athletes from 71 Commonwealth nations and dependencies competed in 21 sports and 272 events, making it the largest Commonwealth Games to date. It was also the largest international multi-sport event to be staged in Delhi and India, eclipsing the Asian Games in 1951 and 1982. Suresh Kalmadi Indian politician

Suresh Kalmadi is an Indian politician who spent 10 months in jail from April 2011 to January 2012 on corruption charges related to his time in charge of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. He was accused of awarding a contract to install the timing, scoring and results system for the event to Swiss Timing at vastly inflated rates. The official, also president of the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) from 1996 to 2012, was charged with conspiracy, forgery and misconduct under the Prevention of Corruption Act but has so far never faced trial. He was formerly a member of the Indian National Congress. He was a member of parliament from Pune till May 2014. He is alleged to have been involved in corrupt practices in relation to the 2010 Commonwealth Games during his tenure as president of Indian Olympic Association and chairman of Commonwealth Games 2010. He was charged with conspiracy, forgery, misconduct and under provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act and later arrested for the same in April 2014, but as has yet not faced trial. In December 2016, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) named Suresh Kalmadi as its lifetime patron. However, he refused to accept the post until he was able to clear his name.

Virdhawal Khade Indian swimmer

Virdhawal Vikram Khade is an Indian swimmer. He competed in the men's 50, 100, and 200 meters Freestyle swimming events at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, setting an Indian national record in 100 meters Freestyle. He failed to qualify for the semifinals in his events despite winning his qualification heat. Khade won a bronze medal in the 50 meters butterfly event at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou; it was India's first Asian Games medal in swimming in 24 years. He was conferred with the Arjuna Award in 2011 by the Government of India.

Hiriyur Manjunath Jyothi is an Indian sprinter and Commonwealth games medalist. She competes in the 100 metres, 200 metres, and 4×100 metres relay categories. She is a national champion or former national champion in each of the three events, with personal best timings of 11.3, 23.42, and 43.42 seconds in the 100 metres, 200 metres, and 4×100 metres relay, respectively. Her personal best times in all three events were after her withdrawal from professional competition for three years to become a mother. A Canara Bank employee, Jyothi is married to the former sprinter S. Srinivas, who is also her personal coach. Despite wanting to win a medal at Asian games, she couldn’t continue sprint due to persistent achilles injury. She ended up her career in 2017 with a gold at the open nationals, Chennai.

Jeevan Karekoppa Suresh is an Indian sprinter who specializes in the 400 metres. He was part of the Indian men's 4 × 400 metres relay team that won the silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games.

Mohammad Rahmatullah was an Indian footballer who played as a forward for the India national team and spent most of his career with Calcutta Football League giant Mohammedan Sporting. He also appeared with Bangladeshi outfit Dhaka Mohammedan and became the first Indian in post-independence period to take the international transfer, the other being legendary Mohammed Salim, who played for Celtic. After 1962, he also represented Pakistan in international football.
