Raimundas Karoblis (born 14 April 1968) [1] is a Lithuanian politician. He served as Minister of Defence in the Skvernelis Cabinet led by Saulius Skvernelis from 13 December 2016 to 11 December 2020. [2]

Butkevičius Cabinet was the 16th cabinet of Lithuania since 1990. It consisted of the Prime Minister, who was the Head of Government, and 14 government ministers from the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania, the Labour Party, the Order and Justice, and the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania.

Parliamentary elections were held in Lithuania on 9 and 23 October 2016 to elect the 141 members of the Seimas. 71 were elected in single-member constituencies using the two-round system, and the remaining 70 in a single nationwide constituency using proportional representation. The first round was held on 9 October and the second round on 23 October.
