Janata Dal (United) ("People's Party (United)"),abbreviated as JD(U),is an Indian political party with political presence mainly in eastern and north-eastern India. JD(U) is recognised as a state party in the states of Bihar and Manipur and is a part of government in both the states. JD(U) heads the government in Bihar and is part of the NDA government in Manipur. JD(U) won 12 seats in the 2024 Indian general election,making it the seventh largest party in the Lok Sabha. Rattan Lal Kataria was an Indian politician from Haryana. He served as the Minister of State in the Ministry of Jal Shakti and Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment till 7 July 2021. He was a member of the 16th Lok Sabha. He was elected to 16th Lok Sabha from Ambala as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party with 612,121 votes out of 1,220,121 total,defeating INC candidate Raj Kumar Balmiki. The Jat reservation agitation was a series of violent protests in February 2016 by the Jats of North India,especially those in the state of Haryana,which "paralysed" the state for 10 days. The protestors sought inclusion of their caste in the Other Backward Class (OBC) category,which would make them eligible for affirmative action benefits. Besides Haryana,the protests also spread to the neighbouring states,such as Uttar Pradesh,Rajasthan,and the National Capital Region.

Maurya is a surname used by Kushwaha caste in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The community called Kushwaha are also known as Koeri,Kachhi,Shakya,Murao and Saini in various parts of the state of Uttar Pradesh. They are second largest OBC group in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh after Yadavs and are one of the most politically organised peasant community in India after Jats,Yadavs and Kurmis. In Rajasthan,due to lack of numerical preponderance in assembly constituencies like Jats,they are underrepresented in politics;however,in Bihar,they are a dominant caste,comprising approximately 9 percent of the population of state. Nayab Singh Saini is an Indian politician serving as the 11th and Current Chief Minister of Haryana since 12th March 2024 and the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party,Haryana since 2023. He was also the MP from Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency from 2019 to 2024,Minister of State,Government of Haryana from 2015 to 2019 and the member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly from Naraingarh Assembly constituency from 2014 to 2019. He was elected as the Leader of BJP's Legislative Party and subsequently became the Chief Minister of Haryana after the resignation of Manohar Lal Khattar came weeks before the 2024 general election.
Saini ministry is the council of ministers in the Indian state of Haryana headed by Nayab Singh Saini. The ministry was formed on 12 March 2024 and Saini along with five others took oaths of office. The first cabinet expansion took place on 19 March 2024 8 mlas took oath as ministers out which one cabinet and seven minister of state.
