Rajasthan State Commission for Women is a statutory body constituted in 1993 to deal with the issues relating to crime against women in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The commission for welfare of women in the state was set up by Rajasthan Government as a quasi-judicial body.

History and Objectives

Rajasthan State Commission for Women was formed to investigate specific problems relating to women, as well as to study women's issues in the state. [3] The Commission is equipped with powers to safeguard rights of women and ensure their protection and equality against any form of harassment and issues faced in the family and community.

Composition

Rajasthan State Commission for Women iwa formed with a chairperson and other members. The social welfare department of the state makes modalities for appointing the Chairman of the State Commission for Women. Their salary and other emoluments are fixed by state government and revised from time to time.

Smt. Rehana rayaj chisti is the Chairperson of the Rajasthan State Commission for Women from 11/2/2022 to 10/2/2025 And three members are 1 Suman Yadav 2 Anjana meghwal 3 Sumitra jain
