Career

Rajeevan began doing art direction for ad films and television serials, before being given the opportunity to work in a feature film for the first time through Ameer's Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002). Soon after he won acclaim for his work in Parthiban Kanavu (2003), before associating with Gautham Vasudev Menon for the first time in Kaakha Kaakha and has since become a regular feature in the director's ventures. It stars Suriya and Jyothika, alongside Jeevan, Daniel Balaji, Devadarshini, Yog Japee, Vivek Anand and Sethu Rajan. The music was composed by Harris Jayaraj, while cinematography and editing were handled by R. D. Rajasekhar and Anthony.

Harini is an Indian film playback and classical singer born and raised in Chennai. She sings predominantly in Tamil films, besides other language films such as Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi films. She was first noticed by music director A. R. Rahman at a school competition where she was one among the winners. Eventually, she was signed in to record the song "Nila Kaigiradhu" for the film Indira (1995) when she was 15. The song went on to become one of the popular songs of the year and Harini began to get singing offers from other leading film composers.

Melvilasom is a 2011 Indian courtroom drama film directed by Madhav Ramadasan and written by Soorya Krishna Moorthy. It stars Suresh Gopi and Parthiban in the lead roles, and features Ashokan, Thalaivasal Vijay, Nizhalgal Ravi, Krishnakumar and Sanjay in other pivotal roles. An adaptation of Moorthy's stage play of the same name, which itself was based on the Hindi play Court Martial (1991) by Swadesh Deepak, the film reached theatres on 29 April 2011. It received wide critical acclaim upon release and got a dubbed release in Tamil as Ulvilaasam.

Parthiban Kanavu is a 1960 Indian Tamil-language historical fiction film, directed by D. Yoganand. The film stars Vyjayanthimala, Gemini Ganesan and S. V. Ranga Rao, with Ragini, S. V. Subbaiah, Kumari Kamala, T. S. Balaiah, P. S. Veerappa and S. A. Ashokan in supporting roles. It is based on the 1942 historical novel of the same name, written by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The film also had actor K. Balaji in a special appearance and actress B. Saroja Devi as an extra.

Kaaka Muttai is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film written, directed and filmed by M. Manikandan, in his directorial debut. Jointly produced by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films, Vetrimaaran's Grass Root Film Company and distributed by Fox Star Studios, it stars newcomers Vignesh and Ramesh, alongside Aishwarya Rajesh, Ramesh Thilak, Yogi Babu in supporting roles and Silambarasan in a cameo appearance. The film's storyline revolves around two slum children of Chennai, whose desire is to taste a pizza.

"Spirit of Chennai" is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language single composed by C Girinandh and directed by Vikram. The song was made as a flood relief anthem in response to the 2015 South Indian floods which affected Chennai, and was stated by the makers to be a "tribute to all the volunteers".

Dhruva Natchathiram also marketed with the subtitle Chapter One – Yuddha Kaandam is an unreleased Indian Tamil-language spy action thriller film directed and produced by Gautham Vasudev Menon. It stars Vikram leading an ensemble cast consisting of Ritu Varma, R. Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran and Vinayakan. The film features music composed by Harris Jayaraj, whereas cinematography handled by Manoj Paramahamsa, S. R. Kathir and Vishnu Dev, editing done by Anthony. It is set in the same universe as Menon's Joshua: Imai Pol Kaakha (2024).
