Rajendra Kumar (born 1960) is a leading politician and member of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in India. [1] Active in politics from his college days, he was first elected Cabinet Minister in the BSP government in 1995. He has been a Member of The Legislative Assembly (mla) since 2007 [2] serving the Muhhamadabad Gohana constituency in Mau District. Since 2008 he has been working as Bihar [3] [4] pradesh prabhari (BSP).

Bahujan Samaj Party Indian political party

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is a national level political party in India that was formed to represent Bahujans, referring to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes (OBC), along with religious minorities. According to Kanshi Ram, when he founded the party in 1984, the Bahujans comprised 85 percent of India's population, but were divided into 6,000 different castes. Mayawati is an Indian politician. She has served four separate terms as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. She is the national president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), which focuses on a platform of social change for Bahujans, more commonly known as Other Backward Castes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes as well as converted minorities from these castes. She was chief minister briefly in 1995 and again in 1997, then from 2002 to 2003 and from 2007 to 2012.

Kanshi Ram

Kanshi Ram, also known as Bahujan Nayak or Manyavar or Saheb, was an Indian politician and social reformer who worked for the upliftment and political mobilisation of the Bahujans, the backward or lower caste people including untouchable groups at the bottom of the caste system in India. Towards this end, Kanshi Ram founded Dalit Shoshit Samaj Sangharsh Samiti (DS-4), the All India Backward and Minority Communities Employees' Federation (BAMCEF) in 1971 and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in 1984. He ceded leadership of the BSP to his protégé Mayawati who has served four terms as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

Dharam Pal Yadav is a former cabinet minister of Uttar Pradesh. He is often referred to with epithets such as "mafia don", "underworld don" or the "unrivalled don of western Uttar Pradesh". He is the father of Vikas Yadav, the convicted murderer of Nitish Katara. He was an MLA four times and also an MP twice. His wife, Umlesh Yadav, was MLA from Bisauli. His nephew is currently Member of Legislative Council (MLC) from Badaun.

Mukhtar Ansari is a politician from Uttar Pradesh. He has been elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly from the Mau constituency a record five times. He was the prime accused in the BJP leader Krishnanand Rai murder case but later found not guilty in 2019.

Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan Singh is an Indian politician and member of 9th, 13th, 15th and 17th Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. And currently serving as Minister of Dairy Development, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries in Yogi Adityanath ministry. He represents the Chhata constituency as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He was previously a member of the Bahujan Samaj Party and was a cabinet minister in the government led by chief minister Mayawati.

Mahagathbandhan (2019) Political alliance in the 2019 Indian general election

The Mahagathbandhan, or MGB, or simply the Gathbandhan (Alliance), was an anti-Congress, anti-BJP, Indian political alliance formed in the run-up to the 2019 general election under the leadership of two former Chief Ministers of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav of the Samajwadi Party and Mayawati of the Bahujan Samaj Party, along with Ajit Singh’s Rashtriya Lok Dal and several other political parties, contesting in different states of India.

The Grand Democratic Secular Front (GDSF), is a coalition of political parties in the Indian state of Bihar formed on 8 October 2020 after the merger of the constituents of the United Democratic Secular Alliance and a three party front.
