Rajkanwar Singh Sandhu (born 13 August 2002) is an Indian professional sport shooter from Patiala, Punjab. He competes in various pistol shooting disciplines, including the 10m Air Pistol, 25m Rapid Fire Pistol, 25m Standard Pistol, 25m Centre Fire Pistol, 25m Sports Pistol, and 50m Free Pistol.

Rajkanwar Singh Sandhu has represented India at several international shooting competitions, including the Asian Shooting Championships, ISSF World Championship, ISSF Junior World Championships, [1] ISSF Junior World Cup [2] [3]

In the 2018 ISSF Junior World Cup, held in Suhl Germany, he, along with Udayveer Sidhu and Vijayveer Sidhu, won a gold medal in the 25m Pistol Men Junior event with a world record score of 1747 points. He also has set another world record of 1706 points to his name in the 25m Standard Junior Men Pistol event along with Vijayveer Sidhu and Anish. His third world record came in the 25m Sports Pistol Mixed Team Junior category, in partnership with Manu Bhaker・

Early Life

Rajkanwar Singh Sandhu born on 13th August 2002 in Patiala Punjab. His father Bhupinder Singh Sandhu and mother Navjot Kaur Sandhu are advocates by profession. Rajkanwar Singh Sandhu did his schooling from Yadavindra Public School Patiala. He showed keen interest in guns since he was a child. At the age of 13 Rajkanwar’s father introduced him to the sport of shooting. Soon after starting shooting he participated in his first international tournament held in Australia at the age of 16.

National achievements

Sandhu has also excelled in domestic competitions such as the National Shooting Championship [4] and Khelo India Youth Games. He has won a total of 14 gold, 14 silver, and 8 bronze medals at the National Shooting Championships in both individual and team events. He claimed a silver medal at the 2nd Khelo India Games held in Pune (2018) and a bronze medal at the 3rd edition of the games held in Assam (2019) •
