Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was the 11th Vice President of India. He served in that position from August 2002, when he was elected to a five-year term by the electoral college following the death of Krishan Kant, until he resigned on 21 July 2007, after losing the presidential election to Pratibha Patil. Shekhawat was a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a leading member of the National Democratic Alliance at the time of election. His father Mr Radhey Shyam Sharma was very renowned writer, He translated many Religious Classics like Ram Charit Manas. Sri Madbhagwat Gita, Sri Durga Saptsati, Ashtavakr Gita, Raam Gita and Shiv Tandav Strota in English Verse. and also a dictionary Vishva Mithak Kosh. He was an RAS officer in the State of Rajasthan. Dr. Vibhuti Bhushan Sharma has been appointed as Additional Advocate General, Government of Rajasthan.
Sudhir Sharma is a former Minister of Housing, Urban Development and Town & Country Planning in the Government of Himachal Pradesh. Sudhir Sharma was first elected to Himachal Pradesh State Assembly in 2003 from Baijnath Constituency. He won again from Baijnath in 2007. In 2012 he won from Dharmshala third time.
