Ramon Bech Taberner (1918-1995) was a Catalan writer and journalist.
He was born in Barcelona. He joined the media in the hands of Sebastià Auger and Grupo Mundo where he held various management positions. He wrote regularly for several newspapers as Mundo Diario, Catalunya Express , Tele/eXpres or 4-2-4 and collaborated with the editorial Dopesa. [1]
His literary output started at an early age. At 17, he published his first poems in a magazine directed by José María López. He was known for the publication of a collection of poems Noviluni (1938) and La ciutat submergida (The submerged city) (1947). He won the 1960 Carles Riba Poetry Prize with Cants terrenals (Earthly Songs) (published in 1962), with cut verses and avant-garde techniques.
Contrasted with this book, Joc de sirenes (Sirens game) was published in 1962, where he rehearsed symbolist sonnet tradition and in 1984 Quatre coses (Four Things). He was member of the poetic group called Oasis, along with other writers and permanent member of the jury John Estelrich prize. Primera Notícia/Obra poètica I (News / Poetic Work I) was first published in 1993. He also wrote and produced plays for the theater.
His personal collection is kept in the National Archive of Catalonia. [2]

He was the architect of the Casa Martí, which became a place of ideas, projects and social gatherings for such well-known Catalans as Santiago Rusiñol and Ramon Casas.

Anna Aguilar-Amat is a Catalan poet, translator, researcher and university professor in Terminology and Computational Linguistics. She writes primarily in Catalan but also has some work in Spanish. She has a PHD from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona where she now teaches Terminology applied to Translation at the Translation Faculty. She published five collections of poems and has received several awards for Catalan poetry. Her poetic work is present in several anthologies of Catalan poets and she has been translated into Spanish, English, French, Italian, Sardinian, Macedonian, Finnish, Arabian, Turkish, Greek, German and Slovenian. She was included in the Anthology New European Poets by Wayne Miller & Kevin Prufer, Minnesota 2008.
Caterina Albert i Paradís, better known by her pen name Víctor Català, was a Catalan writer in Catalan and Spanish who participated in the Modernisme movement and was the author of one of the signature works of the genre, Solitud (Solitude) (1905). Her literary skill was first recognized in 1898, when she received the Jocs Florals prize; soon thereafter, she began using the pseudonym Victor Català, taking it from the protagonist of a novel she never finished. Despite her success as a dramatist and her forays into poetry, she is best known for her work in narrative literature, with the force of her style and the richness of her diction being especially noted. She died in her hometown of l’Escala, Catalonia, in 1966 and is interred in the Cementiri Vell de l’Escala.
Gabriel Mora i Arana (born 13 September 1925, Castellar del Vallès – died 25 November 2014, Manresa) was a Catalan writer, mechanic and seller, nominated in 1975 and 1990 to Mestre en Gai Saber. He was very active in the Esperantist movement.

Joan Triadu i Font was a Catalan literary critic, academic and writer. A cultural and resistant anti-Francoist activist, he was involved in many important Catalan cultural projects in the twentieth century, including the magazines Serra d'Or and Ariel, the newspaper Avui and the association Òmnium Cultural. He was a pioneer in the teaching of Catalan language courses after the Spanish Civil War. As an educationalist, he was the general director of the Cultural Institute of the Centre of Catholic Influence, an institution that created the Thau Barcelona School in 1963 and the Thau Sant Cugat School in 1996. Joan Triadú Year, which marked the centenary of his birth, was celebrated in 2021.

Miquel Bauçà Rosselló was a Mallorcan poet and writer in the Catalan language. His poems have appeared in most contemporary Catalan poetry anthologies. He was recognized as a talented poet from a young age with Una bella història (1962). Bauçà wrote poetry and narrative work, contained in the publication of El Canvi (1998), the highlight of his work and the beginning of a poetic-encyclopedic project that deepened his later works. He died in late 2004, in solitude; his body was discovered in early 2005.

He directed the section Alguna pregunta més?, within El matí de Catalunya Ràdio. He received the humor and satire award 'Premi Pere Quart d'humor i sàtira' in 1999 for the book Criatura i companyia and in 2016 the National Prize for Communication. He died from colorectal cancer on 1 June 2017.
Antoni Comas i Pujol was a literary historian and literary critic, member of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans and elected member of the Acadèmia de Bones Lletres. He married Dolors Lamarca with whom he had three daughters.
The Carles Riba Poetry Prize is a literary prize for Catalan-language works awarded by the Edicions Proa publishing house with funding by the Catalan Encyclopedia Foundation. The winning poem is selected from original, unpublished poems during the Literary Night of Saint Lucía, organized by the Òmnium Cultural association. It has an endowment of €5,000.
