Ran Dian is a Hong Kong-based, international contemporary art magazine, published bilingually in English and Mandarin. [1] [2] [3] [4] It aims both to promote independent cultural debate in China and to foster intellectual exchange between China and the rest of the world. Ran Dian was launched in Shanghai, China in 2010 by Chris Moore, Daniel Szehin Ho and Rebecca Catching. [1] [3] [6] According to Chris Moore, the magazine's international growth was driven by rising interest in East Asia on the part of the Western European art world. [4]

Thomas Eller is a German visual artist and writer. Born and raised in the German district of Franconia he left Nuremberg in 1985 to study fine art at the Berlin University of the Arts. After his forced dismission he studied sciences of religion, philosophy and art history at Free University of Berlin. During this time he was also working as a scientific assistant at the Science Center Berlin for Social Research (WZB).

Yishu: Journal of Contemporary Chinese Art is the first English-language journal specializing in Chinese art and culture. Each bi-monthly issue features scholarly essays on topical issues, interviews with artists and curators, conference proceedings, and critical commentary on exhibitions and books.

From China to Taiwan: Pioneers of Abstraction was a group exhibition held at Museum of Ixelles, Brussels, Belgium from 15 June to 24 September 2017. The exhibitions traces the origins and evolution of twentieth-century Chinese abstract painting. Aside from the works, it also explores the careers of those Chinese artists, who were obliged to leave their homeland and seek refuge in Taiwan.

Denise Ryner is a Canadian curator and writer. She was director and curator at Or Gallery, Vancouver (2017-2022). Ryner has worked as an independent curator, writer and educator at several galleries, artist-run centres and institutions, in Toronto, Vancouver and Berlin. Ryner has contributed to publications like FUSE magazine and Canadian Art magazine.
