Randers Sportsklub Freja (often abbreviated Randers Freja) is a Danish sport club with teams in athletics, handball, table tennis and football.

History

Randers Freja was founded in 1898, and was accepted into the JBU in 1907. [2]

The football department, under the name Randers Freja FC, was established in the late 1990s. In 2003, it merged with five other local football clubs to form Randers FC. [3] The club's football department still exists, but is now considered the reserve team for Randers FC.

The handball department became part of Randers HK in 1996.

Colours

As Randers FC's reserves, Randers Freja's colour is light blue; however, the club's original colours are white and blue.

Colin Todd is an English football manager and former player. He was most recently the manager of Esbjerg fB. Ove Christensen is a Danish football manager who is currently the director of football of Danish fourth tier club Silkeborg KFUM. He has managed a number of Danish Superliga clubs, and won the Danish women's championship with Fortuna Hjørring.

Kaj Aksel Hansen was a Danish football player and manager. As an amateur player, he scored 114 goals in 202 games for B 93, and scored 12 goals in 27 games for the Denmark national football team. Hansen won five Danish football championships with B 93, and was the joint top goalscorer of the 1940 season. He was banned from Danish football in 1946, having illegally accepted payment to play. He then played professionally for French clubs Stade Francais, SR Colmar, FC Metz and CA Paris.

SfB-Oure FA Danish football club

SfB-Oure FA, is an association football club based in the town of Svendborg, Denmark, that competes in the Danish 2nd Division, the third tier of the Danish football league system. Founded in 2018 as an elite superstructure of Svendborg fB and Oure FA, it is affiliated to DBU Funen. The team plays its home matches at Høje Bøge Stadium where it has been based since its foundation.

The 2009-10 season in Danish 2nd Division was divided in two groups. The two winners, Brønshøj BK and FC Hjørring were promoted to the 2010–11 Danish 1st Division, along with the runner-up from the West-division Hobro IK, after they beat their Eastern counterpart B.93 5–1 on aggregate in a two-legged promotion play-off. Relegation was decided when Otterup B&I from the West division lost 4–5 to BK Skjold in another two-legged match-up between the bottom teams from the divisions. This relegation was later annulled, as 1st Division relegatee BK Frem went bankrupt, forcing a further two-level-relegation to the Copenhagen Series and leaving an extra place open for Otterup.

Randers HK is a women's handball club based in Randers, Denmark. They are currently competing in the HTH Ligaen and play their home matches in Arena Randers.

Jesper Thygesen is a Danish football director, commentator, and former player. From 1991 to 2005, Thygesen played 296 games and scored 45 goals in the Danish Superliga. He played in the midfielder position, and represented Ikast FS, Silkeborg IF, Brøndby IF, and Randers FC, winning the 1998 Superliga and 1998 Danish Cup with Brøndby. He played 27 national youth team games, and represented the Denmark League XI national football team on seven occasions in 1997 and 1998.

Horsens Håndboldkub Elite is a Danish handball club. In the 2018/19 season its first female team plays in the Danish 1st division after its relegation in 2010. The team plays at home in Forum Horsens.

FC Djursland is an association football club based in the town of Grenaa, Denmark, that competes in the Denmark Series, the fourth tier of the Danish football league system.
