Ranga Khush is a Hindi action drama movie of Bollywood directed and produced by Joginder. [1] [2] This film was released in January, 1975 in the banner of Apollo International. [3]

Plot

Ranga, the bandit chief terrorises many villages and the police cannot catch him. A poor villager Sultan Singh lives with his son Karma and daughter Devi. Ranga kills Sultan and kidnaps Devi. Karma tries to organise the villagers against Ranga and his gang of dacoit to save his sister.

Phoolan Devi, popularly known as the Bandit Queen, was an Indian dacoit (bandit) who became a politician, serving as a member of parliament until her assassination. She was a woman of the Mallah subcaste who grew up in poverty in a village in the state of Uttar Pradesh, where her family was on the losing side of a land dispute which caused them many problems. After being married off at the age of eleven and being sexually abused by various people, she joined a gang of dacoits. Her gang robbed higher-caste villages and held up trains and vehicles. When she punished her rapists and evaded capture by the authorities, she became a heroine to the Other Backward Classes who saw her as a Robin Hood figure. Phoolan Devi was charged in absentia for the 1981 Behmai massacre, in which twenty Thakur men were executed, allegedly on her command. After this event, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh resigned, and calls to apprehend her were amplified. She surrendered two years later in a carefully negotiated settlement and spent eleven years in Gwalior prison, awaiting trial.

Subedar Joginder Singh Sahnan, PVC, was an Indian soldier who posthumously received India's highest military award, the Param Vir Chakra. Singh joined the British Indian Army in 1936 and served in the 1st battalion of the Sikh Regiment. During the 1962 Sino-Indian War, he was commanding a platoon at the Bum La Pass in the North-East Frontier Agency. Though heavily outnumbered, he bravely led his troops against a Chinese assault and defended his post until he was wounded and captured. Singh died from his injuries while in Chinese custody. He single-handedly killed more than 50 Chinese soldiers, and became a war hero within the Indian Armed Forces.

Sardara Singh, sometimes referred as Sardar Singh, is an Indian field hockey coach and former field hockey player. He also served as the captain of the Indian national team. He usually plays the center half position. Sardara became the youngest player to captain the Indian team when he led the side at the 2008 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup. Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2 is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language epic black comedy crime film co-written, produced and directed by Anurag Kashyap. It is the second part of the movie Gangs of Wasseypur, centered on the coal mafia of Dhanbad, Jharkhand and the underlying power struggles, politics and vengeance between three crime families. Hutup is a small village in Ormanjhi tehsil, Ranchi district, Jharkhand, India. It is one of 91 villages in Ormanjhi Block along with villages like Koilari and Karma. The village is mostly known for its zamindar or king 'Thakur Tilak Dhari Singh. zamindar of seven nearby villages. He was praised by the villagers. He played a great role. And donated most of the land to poor farmers. He donated many lands for temples, mosques, schools and hospital. He ruled the village with honour and pride. At present his grandsons are also contributing and raising the name of Tilakdhari Singh. Its nearest railway station is in Ranchi, accessible via National Highway 33.

Sardara Singh Johl is an Indian agriculture economist, writer, politician and the chancellor of the Central University of Punjab. A former National Professor of Agricultural Economics of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, he served as the vice chancellor of the Punjabi University and Punjab Agricultural University during different tenures and chaired the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices set up by the Government of India. He is a former director of the Central Board of Governors of the Reserve Bank of India and a former consultant to international bodies such as Food and Agriculture Organization, World Bank and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 2004, for his contributions to Agriculture and agriculture education.
