Ranjeet Mali (born 5 November 1988) is an Indian cricketer. [1] Mali made his first class debut for Assam against Tripura at Agartala in the 2008-09 Ranji Trophy. He is a right-arm fast medium bowler. In November 2018,he took his 100th first class wicket in the Ranji Trophy match against Jharkhand. [2]
Wasim Jaffer is an Indian retired professional cricketer. He was a right-handed opening batsman and an occasional right arm off-break bowler. He is currently the highest run-scorer in Ranji Trophy cricket,surpassing Amol Muzumdar. In November 2018,he became the first batsman to score 11,000 runs in the competition. In January 2019,he became the most capped player in Ranji Trophy history with appearance of his 146th match surpassing Madhya Pradesh's Devendra Bundela (145). He was appointed as batting coach for Bangladesh cricket team. In March 2020,he announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

The 1936–37 Ranji Trophy was the third edition of India's first-class cricket championship. Matches were played from 3 December 1936 to 10 February 1937 with a total of 17 teams participating. The sides were divided into four zonal groups,but the tournament utilised a knockout format. Fifteen of the 1935–36 teams returned but Northern India did not. In July 2018,the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) named the team as one of the nine new sides that would compete in domestic tournaments for the 2018–19 season,including the Ranji Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy. However,prior to the start of the tournament,the team did not have a ground to play first-class cricket on.
