Rasmus Korhonen (born 22 October 2002) is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender who plays for Jukurit in the Liiga. He was selected 122nd overall in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft by the Arizona Coyotes.

In 2020, Korhonen played his first men's game for Ässät, against TPS. Straight after the first faceoff, TPS's Markus Nurmi shot the puck into the net, breaking the Liiga record for the fastest goal. [1]

On 10 May 2021, Korhonen signed a two-year contract with Ässät of the Finnish Liiga. [2] On 29 June, Korhonen was sent to Kokkolan Hermes of the Finnish Mestis on a one-year loan. [3] Following completion of the 2021–22 season, with Hermes and a short loan stint with Vaasan Sport, Korhonen joined the Arizona Coyotes' AHL affiliate, the Tucson Roadrunners, on a tryout for the remainder of the North American season on 4 April 2022. [4] Korhonen continued to play with Ässät for the 2022–23 Liiga season. Korhonen served as the backup goalie to Niklas Rubin while he also played games for the U20 team.

Korhonen signed a one-year contract with Jukurit for the 2023–24 Liiga season. [5] [6]

eLiiga was a Finnish esports league that was played in the NHL video game series. The teams competing in the tournament were real ice hockey teams that play in the Liiga, the top-tier league of Finland. The league was hosted by Liiga and Telia. Only the top-eight teams could make it into the playoffs. The playoffs were played in a best-of-three series, but the final was played in a best-of-five series.

The history of the Porin Ässät starts in 1925, when Porin Palloilijat was established, even though PoPa is often considered as a separate club from Ässät.

The 2012–13 Porin Ässät season was the club's 37th season in the SM-liiga and the 45th season at the top-level of ice hockey in Finland. Towards the end of the regular season, Ässät won 14 matches in a row and did not miss a single point during the last 16 regular season matches. Ässät finished fourth in the regular season, being only one point away from the 3rd placed JYP. The season eventually ended in Kanada-malja championship celebrations after Ässät beat Tappara Tampere in the finals. The championship was Ässät's third.

The 2013–14 Porin Ässät season was the club's 38th season in the SM-liiga and the 46th season at the top-level of ice hockey in Finland. In the previous season, Ässät had won their third Finnish championship in its history by defeating Tappara in the finals. With this, Ässät's season started at home against Lukko by raising the championship banner to the roof of the Pori Ice Hall. The season went poorly for Ässät, as the team's ranking was third last in the regular season. Only TPS and KalPa collected fewer points.

Niklas Kokko is a Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender for the Lahti Pelicans of the Finnish Liiga under contract to the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted in the second round by the Kraken in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
