Ravanolbhavam (The Origin of Ravana) is a Kathakali play(Aattakatha) authored by Kallekulangara Raghava Pisharodi in Malayalam. Based on the Ramayana, it narrates the story surrounding the origin of Ravana and his rise to power following his penance to Brahma. [1] [2] A major part of the play involves the arrogant Ravana enacting the tale of how, by means of a severe penance, he came in possession of boons from Brahma. [3]

Yashoda Foster-Mother of Lord Krishna

In Hindu legends, Yashoda, also spelt as Yasodha, is the foster-mother of Krishna and wife of Nanda. She is described in the Puranic texts of Hinduism. According to Bhagavata Purana, Krishna was born to Devaki, but Krishna's father Vasudeva brought the newborn Krishna to his cousin brother Nanda Baba in Gokul, in order to raise and protect Krishna from Devaki's brother Kansa, the king of Mathura.

He was the husband of Tara, biological son of Vriksharaja, the elder brother of Sugreeva and father of Angada. He was killed by Rama, an avatar of Vishnu. Vaali was invincible during Treta Yuga. Vaali defeated some of the greatest warriors like Ravana. Vaali was blessed with the ability to obtain half the strength of his opponent. Rama killed Vaali by hiding behind the trees. However, during first attempt, Rama could not recognize which one is Vaali and which Sugriva due to their similar looks. Thus, during the next attempt, Sugriva wore a garland of red flowers and went to battle with Vaali. This time, Lord Rama could recognize which was Vaali and shot an arrow that killed him.

Calicut International Airport, also known as Karipur Airport, is an international airport located in Karipur, Malappuram district of Kerala, India. Viswanathan Shanta was an Indian oncologist and the chairperson of Adyar Cancer Institute, Chennai. She was best known for her efforts towards making quality and affordable cancer treatment accessible to all patients in her country. She dedicated herself to the mission of organizing care for cancer patients, study of the disease, research on its prevention and cure, spreading awareness about the disease, and developing specialists and scientists in various subspecialties of oncology. Jaya-Vijaya Two gatekeepers in Hinduism

In Hindu religion, Jaya and Vijaya are the two gatekeepers or Dwarapalakas of the abode of Vishnu, known as Vaikuntha. Due to a curse, they were forced to undergo multiple births as mortals who would be subsequently killed by various avatars of Vishnu. They were incarnated as Hiranyakashipu and Hiranyaksha in Satya Yuga, Ravana and Kumbhakarna in Treta Yuga, and finally Shishupala and Dantavakra in Dvapara Yuga.

Bhookailas is a 1958 Indian Telugu-language Hindu mythological film, produced by A. V. Meiyappan under the AVM Productions banner and directed by K. Shankar. It stars N. T. Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Jamuna and music composed by R. Sudarsanam & R. Govardhanam. The story is based on the Sthala Purana of Gokarna Kshetram in Karnataka. The film was released in Tamil as Bhaktha Ravana. Previously, a film was made with the same story casting different artists in Tamil in 1938 and in Telugu in 1940 with the same title which were adaptation of the famous Kannada stage play Bhookailasa by Sri Sahitya Samrajya Nataka Mandali of Mysore. A. V. Meiyappan also shot the movie simultaneously in Kannada as Bhookailasa starring Rajkumar.

Mahabaleshwar Temple, Gokarna

VOC park and zoo

V O Chidambaranar park and zoo is a zoological garden and amusement park located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.
