Ravivarman Sharmila, best known as R. Sharmila (A Hindu Seli Dravida-Schedule Caste)[ clarification needed ] is an Indian national carrom champion with excellent skill and control on the game. She born on 23 April 1981 to a lower-income family in Chennai. She started playing at 8 years of age and developed her game enough to be selected for the 1992 Tamil Nadu Sub-Junior Carrom Team at age 11.

Punjab State Carrom Association

The Punjab State Carrom Association (PSCA) was the Punjab, India state sport federation for the indigenous game of carrom, and was a state affiliate of the All India Carrom Federation (AICF), India's national branch of the International Carrom Federation (ICF). The PSCA was formed during 1996–97 in Sirhind, Punjab, Northern India. There were ten district associations affiliated with PSCA of which the Tarn Taran and Amritsar associations are the largest. The PSCA's headquarters are in Mohali, Punjab.

The Turkmenistan Fed Cup team represents Turkmenistan in international women's tennis and is directed by the Turkmenistan Tennis Association. The team played in the first ever tournament in 2004, and five occasions since. Prior to 1993, Turkmenistani players competed for the Soviet Union.

Balapuwaduge Ajantha Winslow Mendis known as Ajantha Mendis is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who played for Sri Lankan national cricket team in all three formats. He was known as the "mystery spinner" due to the unusual bowling action and widely regarded as one of the best limited over bowlers in the world arena. In August 2019, he retired from all formats of cricket.

Gadde Ruthvika Shivani Badminton player

Gadde Ruthvika Shivani is an Indian badminton player who currently plays singles. She trains at the Gopichand Badminton Academy.

The 2016 Carrom World Championship, was the 7th edition of an international Carrom tournament governed by the International Carrom Federation, contested from 7 to 11 November 2016 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Fifteen countries had competed in the tournament.

Chamil Darshana Cooray Bulathsinghalage is a Sri Lankan carrom player. He has been playing for Sri Lanka from 2004 to date who was also the captain of the Sri Lanka Men's Carrom team that won the 2016 Carrom World Championship in Birmingham, England. He was also the part of the Sri Lankan team in the 2012 Carrom World Championship where he finished 6th in the Men's Singles rankings

The 2018 Carrom World Cup was the 5th edition of the Carrom World Cup which held in the city of Chuncheon, South Korea for 7 days from 23 August to 26 August. This was staged as the first international carrom tournament since the 2016 Carrom World Championship and also marked the first Carrom World Cup to be held in South Korea. The World Cup was hosted in Chuncheon as a part of the 2018 World Leisure Games which includes other sports such as ice hockey, slalom, taekwondo and darts. Sri Lanka won the men's Carrom World Cup and India won the women's World Cup tournament in their respective finals mayil is the winner.

Kajal Kumari is an Indian female carrom player who represents India internationally and also works as an officer at the Indian Oil. During the 2018 Carrom World Cup, she created history by becoming the first ever woman to clinch the overall combined Swiss League title after defeating defending Swiss League champion Chamil Cooray of Sri Lanka in the combined Swiss League final.

Saikumar Apoorva also popularly known by her short name S. Apoorva also spelt as either S. Apoorwa or S. Appoorwa is an Indian carrom player and a defending carrom world champion in women's singles. She also currently works as a senior administrative officer in Life Insurance Corporation of India. She is also the first world champion in any sport to have emerged from the city of Hyderabad.
