Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs

The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs is a graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin that was founded in 1970 to offer professional training in public policy analysis and administration for students interested in pursuing careers in government and public affairs-related areas of the private and nonprofit sectors. Ben G. Streetman is the former Dean of the Cockrell School of Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. He earned a Ph.D in electrical engineering from Texas in 1966, and became a professor there in 1982. He founded the university's Microelectronics Research Center and holds the Dula D. Cockrell Centennial Chair Emeritus in Engineering. Streetman is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Academy of Engineering. He is a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Electrochemical Society. He was awarded the IEEE Education Medal in 1989.

Keshav K Pingali is an American computer scientist, currently the William Moncrief Chair of Grid and Distributed Computing at University of Texas at Austin, and also a published author. Lorenzo Alvisi is an Italian computer scientist and Tisch University Professor at Cornell University. Prior to joining Cornell, he was a University Distinguished Teaching Professor and the holder of the Endowed Professorship #5 at University of Texas at Austin. Gustavo de Veciana is an American computer scientist and engineer, who is currently a Cullen Trust for Higher Education Endowed Professor at the University of Texas at Austin. He is a 1993 Ph.D. graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in telecommunication networks, probability and random processes, analysis and design of communication networks, digital communications, and information theory. His research focuses on the analysis and design of communication and computing networks, data-driven decision-making in man-machine systems, and applied probability and queueing theory. In 2009, he was designated a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers for his contributions to the analysis and design of communication networks.

Jayadev Misra is an Indian computer scientist, currently the Schlumberger Centennial Chair Emeritus and Distinguished Teaching Professor Emeritus at University of Texas at Austin, and member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and Association for Computing Machinery.

Zengjian Jeffrey Chen is a molecular geneticist and biologist, currently the D. J. Sibley Centennial Professor of Plant Molecular Genetics at University of Texas at Austin.
