Raymond Vella (born 11 January 1959) is a Maltese former footballer who last played as a midfielder for St. Andrews.

The competition consisted of a semi-final round and a final, held on 24 and 26 January 2008, respectively, where "Vodka" performed by Morena eventually emerged as the winning entry after scoring the most points from a seven-member jury and a public televote.

Emanuel Benjamin Vella, also known as E. B. Vella, was a Maltese schoolteacher and writer. He was born in Mosta on 20 June 1898 to Clement Vella and his wife Carmela née Azzopardi. He was a member of the Maltese Writers Association. He died in Mosta on 2 May 1946. A primary school in Mosta is named after him.
