Ray Watrin (born February 1, 1945) is a former professional Canadian football offensive lineman who played 12 seasons in the Canadian Football League for five different teams. He won the Leo Dandurand Trophy in 1979 and also was named CFL All-Star that season, and was a part of a Grey Cup championship team with the Montreal Alouettes in 1974 and 1977. Watrin played college football at Utah State University.

After retiring from professional football, Watrin returned to his home town of Okotoks, Alberta to coach football and teach math at Foothills Composite High School. He also coached the Calgary Colts in the Canadian Junior Football League and coached in a Canadian Women's football league [2]

In 2009, he retired from his post at Foothills Composite High School,[ citation needed ] and in 2010 he ran for Okotoks Town Council, he won by a slim margin. [3]

Wally Buono

Pasquale "Wally" Buono is the vice president of football operations, alternate governor and the former head coach of the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL), and one of the most successful head coaches in league history. He has spent 22 years as head coach of the Calgary Stampeders and the Lions, which is tied for the most seasons coached all-time. On September 19, 2009, Buono became the CFL's all-time winningest coach when his Lions beat the Toronto Argonauts 23–17, giving him 232 regular-season victories, passing Don Matthews. He retired in 2011 with a CFL record 254 regular-season wins as head coach, to focus on duties as general manager for the Lions. In 2016, Buono came out of retirement to coach the Lions again through the 2018 season. Shomari Gyasi Williams is the defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator for the UBC Thunderbirds of U Sports football.
