Flames United SC is a Sint Maarten football club that currently plays in the SMSA Senior League, the highest level of football on Dutch Sint Maarten. The club's home ground is the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex in Philipsburg, the country's capital. The club also fields a futsal team. The 2016–17 U.S. Virgin Islands Championship was the 14th edition of the competition. The season began on 30 October 2016 and ended on 12 February 2017. The championship itself was a four-team tournament that determined the domestic champion of the U.S. Virgin Islands, based on the top two finishers in the St. Croix and St. Thomas Leagues.

United We Stand SC is a U.S. Virgin Islands based soccer club that regularly competes in the U.S. Virgin Islands Association Club Championship, and has had success. The team competes in the St. Thomas League and the U.S. Virgin Islands Association Club Championship on a yearly basis. Their most recent performance saw them reach the playoffs and finish as runner-ups for the 2022–23 season.
