The Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACoM), also known as the Church of the Province of Melanesia and the Church of Melanesia (COM), is a church of the Anglican Communion and includes nine dioceses in the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and New Caledonia. The Archbishop of Melanesia is Leonard Dawea. He succeeds the retired archbishop George Takeli.
John Manwaring Steward (1874–1937) was the fifth Anglican Bishop of Melanesia, serving from 1919 to 1928. From 1924 he was assisted by Merivale Molyneux as assistant bishop. He was the son of Charles Edward Steward, also an Anglican priest. J.M. Steward was elected Bishop of Melanesia after 17 years of missionary work as a priest in the Melanesian Mission, which he joined in 1902.
Sir Ellison Leslie Pogo KBE was a Solomon Islands Anglican bishop. He was the Archbishop of Melanesia and Bishop of Central Melanesia from 1994 until December 9, 2008. He was the third Archbishop of Melanesia, following Amos Waiaru. He was married to Roslyn and had three adult children.

From 1861 until the inauguration of Church of the Province of Melanesia in 1975, the Bishop of Melanesia was the head of the Diocese of Melanesia.

John Wallace Chisholm, was an Australian divine who served as the tenth Anglican Bishop of Melanesia and first Archbishop of the Province of Melanesia. He was educated at Trinity College, University of Melbourne and ordained in 1947. His first post was as a Curate at St Stephen's Church, Rochester Row, Westminster after which he was Sub-Dean of Ss Peter and Paul Cathedral, Dogura, Territory of Papua and New Guinea. From his consecration as a bishop on 24 February 1964 until 1967 he was an Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of New Guinea when he became Bishop of Melanesia, a post he held until 26 January 1975 when the Diocese of Melanesia became a province and he automatically became Archbishop of Melanesia and Bishop of Central Melanesia. He died on 24 May, shortly after signing the last paperwork of the Province's creation process.
Amos Stanley Waiaru OBE was a Solomon Islands divine from Nafinuatog who served as the third Archbishop of the Province of Melanesia.
Sir David Okete Vuvuiri Vunagi, is a retired Solomon Islands Anglican bishop and incumbent Governor-General of Solomon Islands. He was the Archbishop of Melanesia and Bishop of the Diocese of Central Melanesia, from 2009 to 2015.
James Marvin Ligo was the Anglican Bishop of Vanuatu and New Caledonia, one of the eight dioceses that make up the Anglican Church of Melanesia. He was consecrated and installed as Bishop of Vanuatu on 15 October 2006; the name of his diocese was changed during his time, so he became Bishop of Vanuatu and New Caledonia; he was succeeded as bishop by James Tama.
