Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu is a professor of art and history in the faculty of environmental sciences, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso. [1] He is an acting vice chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology known as (LAUTECH), which is located in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. [2] [3] [4] [5]
He is an alumnus of the University of Ife (which is now known as Obafemi Awolowo University) [6] and the University of Ibadan [7] He holds a PhD from the University of Ibadan (1992) [1] [2]
He began working at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology on September 1, 1992. His appointment as a professor of Arts and Arts History was on October 1, 1999. He was appointed acting vice-chancellor on June 12, 2023. [8] [2] Before joining the university, Advertising, elementary, secondary, college of education, and polytechnic education systems were all areas of expertise for Kalilu. [7] [2]

Chief Obafemi Jeremiah Oyeniyi Awolowo was a Nigerian nationalist and politician who played a key role in Nigeria's independence movement (1957–1960). Awolowo founded the Yoruba nationalist group Egbe Omo Oduduwa, and was the first Leader of Government Business and Minister of Local Government and Finance, and first Premier of the Western Region under Nigeria's parliamentary system, from 1952 to 1959. He was the official opposition leader in the federal parliament to the Balewa government from 1959–1963.
Ogbomosho is a city in Oyo State, south-western Nigeria. It was founded in the mid 17th century. The population was approximately 655,517 in 2024. It is the second largest city in Oyo State and also among the most populated in Nigeria. It is the 3rd most populated city in South Western Nigeria after Lagos and Ibadan. Although the principal inhabitants of the city are the Yoruba people, there are people from other parts of Nigeria and other West African countries who are residents in the city.

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) is a federal university in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. The university was founded in 1961 and classes commenced in October 1962 as the University of Ife by the regional government of Western Nigeria, which was led by Samuel Ladoke Akintola. It was renamed "Obafemi Awolowo University" on 12 May 1987, so by the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida led military administration, in honour of Obafemi Awolowo (1909–1987), the first premier of the Western Region of Nigeria, who initially thought of the idea of establishing the university.
Chief Samuel Ládòkè Akíntọ́lá otherwise known as S.L.A. was a Nigerian politician, aristocrat, orator, and lawyer. He served as Oloye Aare Ona Kakanfo XIII of Yorubaland and served as premier of Western Nigeria from independence in 1960 till his assassination in 1966.

The Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE) is an organization for chemical engineers in Nigeria. NSChE was officially inaugurated on 12 March 1969 at a meeting at BP House in Lagos attended by twenty four Chemical Engineers, all trained abroad. In 1999 it became a Division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. The Society publishes the Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineering Journal.

Esa-Oke is a Yoruba town located at the Obokun Local Government Area of the Ijesa North Federal Constituency of Ife/Ijesa Senatorial District of Osun State, South-West of Nigeria. Cyril Agodi Onwumechili was a Nigerian physicist, academic administrator, and professor of geophysics at the University of Ibadan and later University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He was the fourth Vice Chancellor of the University of Ife from January 1979 to December 1982 and the former President/Vice Chancellor of the Anambra State University of Technology, Enugu, Nigeria, from January 1983 to December 1986. He delivered the Ahiajoku lecture on 20 November 2000. He was the first Nigerian geophysicist and the second president of the Nigerian Academy of Science. He was elected as president of the Academy in 1979 to succeed Professor Victor Adenuga Oyenuga, the first emeritus professor of the University of Ibadan and the first African professor of Agricultural science.
Catherine Olufunke Falade is a professor of pharmacology and therapeutics and also the director of the Institute for Advanced Medical Research & Training at the College of Medicine at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. She is also a healthcare practitioner specializing as a pharmacologist at the University College Hospital, Ibadan. Her research interest focuses on malaria in children. She collaborates with the Malaria Control Units of both the State and Federal Ministries of Health.

Olusegun Oke Library (OOL) is the main academic library of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso in Oyo State, Nigeria. It was formerly known as LAUTECH Library and was established in July 1990, some months after the inauguration of the university. It was set up as one of the academic units in the university.

Michael Olufisayo Ologunde is a professor of good science and the first indigenous Vice-chancellor of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology after the tenure of his predecessor, Adeniyi Sulaiman Gbadegesin. He was sacked by the Oyo State Government in 2021 over undisclosed reasons.
