Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh or REHAB is a real estate trade body in Bangladesh. [1] [2] Shamsul Alamin is president of REHAB. [3]

History

The association was founded in 1991 with eleven members which became 916 members by 2023. It holds real estate fairs in two (2) largest cities [4] of Bangladesh- Dhaka [5] & Chattogram. [6]

Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, , is the main international airport serving Dhaka City, the capital city of Bangladesh, and it is the largest airport in Bangladesh. It is located in Kurmitola, 17 km (11 mi) from the city centre, in the northern part of Dhaka. The airport is also used as a base for the Bangladesh Air Force, named BAF Base Bangabandhu. The airport has an area of 802 hectares. The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) operates and maintains the airport. It started operations in 1980, taking over from Tejgaon Airport as the principal international airport of the country. The airport was formerly known as Dacca International Airport and later as Zia International Airport, before being named in honour of Shah Jalal, who is one of the most respected Sufi saints of Bangladesh. The IATA code of the airport "DAC" is derived from "Dacca", which is the previously used spelling for "Dhaka".

The Jatiya Party is a political party in Bangladesh. The current chairman of the party is Ghulam Muhammed Quader. On 3 January 2019, the party announced its decision to join the Bangladesh Awami League-led Grand Alliance after having been in opposition for the previous parliamentary term. However, the party backtracked the next day and announced that it intended to remain part of the opposition. Currently, it holds Rangpur out of Bangladesh's 12 city corporations.

The Dhaka Metro Rail, or simply the Dhaka Metro, is a mass rapid transit system serving Dhaka, the capital and largest city of Bangladesh. It is owned and operated by the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL). Together with the under construction Dhaka BRT, proposed Dhaka Subway and Dhaka suburban circular rail, it is expected to reduce traffic congestion in the city. The metro rail network has five planned lines which are the MRT Line 6, the only operational line, MRT Line 1 and MRT line 5, which are under construction, and MRT Line 2 and MRT Line 4, which are in the planning stages. It is part of the Strategic Transport Plan outlined by the Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA).

Bashundhara Group is a Bangladeshi conglomerate and one of the largest manufacturing companies in Bangladesh. It was incorporated in 1987 as a real estate company under the name East West Property Development Ltd (EWPD). After its first project turned out to be successful, the company grew quickly. Salman Fazlur Rahman is a Bangladeshi businessman, and a former member of the Jatiya Sangsad representing Dhaka-1 constituency. He held the position of private industry and investment adviser to the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina, with the status of a cabinet minister. Prior to this, he was her private sector development affairs adviser. In 2017, he was ranked as the 1685th billionaires globally published by Beijing-based Hurun Gobal. He holds the position of vice chairman at BEXIMCO Group, one of the Bangladesh's largest conglomerates. He was the president of several trade bodies, including the Association of Television Channel Owners (ATCO). He is currently in the custody of Dhaka Metropolitan Police on the charge of instigating killing during the Bangladesh quota reform movement.

SA TV, the acronym of the lesser known South Asian Television, is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable television channel based in Gulshan, Dhaka. It is owned by the S.A. Group, one of Bangladesh's largest transportation and real estate groups. SA TV commenced transmissions on 19 January 2003.

Bangladesh Pratidin is a Bengali-language independent daily newspaper in Bangladesh. It was founded on 15 March 2010. Bangladesh Pratidin tops the list of highest circulated dailies in the country out of 345 newspapers published from Dhaka and elsewhere, the information minister told parliament 10 March 2014. Naem Nizam is the editor of Bangladesh Pratidin. Bangladesh Pratidin is a subsidiary of East West Media Group (EWMG), which is owned by Bashundhara Group. On behalf of EWMG, the publisher of the newspaper is Moynal Hossain Chowdhury.
