Ryan Bowersock, better known by his stage name Reanimator, is an alternative hip hop producer from Wisconsin operating out of Chicago, Illinois. [1]

Reanimator released the solo debut album, Music to Slit Wrists By, in 2004. [2] He released The Ugly Truth , a collaborative album with the rapper Prolyphic, on Strange Famous Records in 2008. [3] [4] He has also produced tracks for the rapper Sage Francis. [5]

It is a compilation of tracks recorded from the Live Band Dead Poet Tour, the Fuck Clear Channel Tour and the 2005 tour with Sol.iLLaquists Of Sound. Some of the tracks recorded with Gruvis Malt in 2003 appeared on Francis' previous live album Dead Poet, Live Album, however the versions appearing on this album have been cleaned up, featuring basslines performed by Mikal kHill or Arit Harvanko.

This song was number 16 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2008. Jeezy and Nas recorded the song on the day Barack Obama clinched the Democratic nomination for the presidency. "My President" is also notable for the unified collaboration between the two artists, who had been having a feud since the 2006 release of Nas' album Hip Hop Is Dead, which contained statements to which Young Jeezy took offense.
