"Recipe of a Hoe" is the second single released from Boss' debut album, Born Gangstaz . Though the single was not as successful as her previous one, "Recipe of a Hoe" still managed to become her second consecutive single to reach #1 on the Hot Rap Singles chart.

Joy of Cooking, often known as "The Joy of Cooking", is one of the United States' most-published cookbooks. It has been in print continuously since 1936 and has sold more than 20 million copies. It was published privately during 1931 by Irma S. Rombauer (1877–1962), a homemaker in St. Louis, Missouri, after her husband's suicide the previous year. Rombauer had 3,000 copies printed by A.C. Ho Yuen Hoe, later in life but rarely known by her Dharma name, Venerable Jing Run, was a Buddhist nun affectionately known as Singapore's "grand dame of charity" in recognition of her lifelong devotion in helping the old and needy. She was the abbess of Lin Chee Cheng Sia Temple and the founder in 1969 of the Man Fut Tong Nursing Home, the first Buddhist nursing home. Venerable Ho was relatively unknown to the public until 1996, when she was featured in a television programme – The Extraordinary People – at the age of 88.
