Red 4 Filth is the fourth studio album by American drag queen and recording artist Alaska Thunderfuck, released on September 23, 2022.^[1] The album was promoted by ten pre-release singles, "Red", "Beautiful (Night 4 a) Breakdown", "Without Your Love", "Wow", "XOXOY2K", "Ask Me", "22", "Uh", "I Am Her (She Is Me)", and "Girlz Night". The album will be supported by her first North American headlining tour in Fall 2022.^[2]^[3]Red 4 Filth takes its name from a fake perfume she created on the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race .

Background and composition

The majority of the album was written during COVID-19 lockdowns.^[4] In an interview with Thrillist, Alaska said that the album was inspired by the sounds of 1990s and 2000s music, citing Weezer, Aqua, Toni Braxton, and Britney Spears as specific touchpoints.^[4] In the music video for "Wow", Alaska performed out of drag with LA-based band the Disciplez as her backing band.^[4] "XOXOY2K" is a Europop track with electronic club beats that is inspired by early 2000s nostalgia.^[5] "Ask Me" is an Ace of Base-inspired pop song.^[5] "22" sees Alaska sing to her younger self and to "any young person who has ever felt like she didn't belong".^[6]

Sean Maunier of Metro Weekly wrote that "as inseparable as camp and comedy are from the Alaska brand, Red 4 Filth feels like it’s trying to be a more straightforward pop record, with some mixed results", and called the Drag Race references featured throughout the album "stale" given that Alaska is "four albums in, and so far removed from her time on the reality series". Maunier concluded that "Alaska managed to make the transition from reality star to recording artist better than most, but having set the bar high for herself, Red 4 Filth can’t help but come up short" and in spite of her "charisma and inimitable attitude", her most recent album lacks "the lightning in a bottle that made Anus work so well".^[7]

Christmas Queens 2 is a holiday compilation album by various artists. It was released by Producer Entertainment Group on November 11, 2016. Consisting of 30 tracks, the album is a sequel to Christmas Queens (2015) and features RuPaul's Drag Race contestants alongside Jackie Beat, Michelle Visage, and Carnie Wilson performing mostly original material; exceptions include ensemble covers of "Deck the Halls" and "Auld Lang Syne, as well as Visage's rendition of "O Holy Night". Mo Heart, previously Monique Heart, is the stage name of Kevin Richardson, an American drag queen, reality television personality, and recording artist best known for competing on the tenth season of RuPaul's Drag Race (2018), the fourth season of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars (2018–2019), and RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs the World (2022). Poundcake is the second studio album by American drag performer and recording artist Alaska Thunderfuck, released by Producer Entertainment Group on October 14, 2016. The album features RuPaul's Drag Race contestants Adore Delano, Gia Gunn, and Miss Fame, and drag performer Jackie Beat. "Puppet" was released as the lead single, and an accompanying music video was directed by Santiago Felipe. Music videos were also created for "The T", which features Adore Delano and other Drag Race competitors Coco Montrese, Katya, Tatianna, and Trixie Mattel, "Stun", which features appearances by Gia Gunn, Courtney Act, and Mariah Paris Balenciaga, as well as "Come to Brazil".

Vagina is the third studio album by American drag performer Alaska Thunderfuck, released by Producer Entertainment Group on May 24, 2019. The album's surprise release was announced by Alaska in a television advertisement which aired during the eleventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race. The album's songs were then heavily promoted in her appearance at RuPaul's DragCon LA and during the debut of her new drag pageant. The song "Cellulite" features rapper Big Dipper, and music producers Jodie Harsh and Ellis Miah each contributed to a track. The album reached a peak position of number two on Billboard's Comedy Albums chart.

Spoopy is the debut extended play (EP) by American drag performer Sharon Needles, released through Producer Entertainment Group on October 11, 2019. It includes six covers of songs with a Halloween theme.
