The Red Rock Correctional Facility is a medium-security, privately owned and operated state prison for men located in Eloy, Pinal County, Arizona, owned and operated by the Corrections Corporation of America under contract with the Arizona Department of Corrections. [1]

Arizona Department of Corrections

The Arizona Department of Corrections is statutory responsible for the incarceration of inmates in 10 prisons in the U.S. state of Arizona. As of December 2015, the ADC manages over 42,643 imprisoned inmates and over 5,466 inmates who have been paroled or that are statutorily released. ADC is also in involved in recruitment and training of Correctional Officers at the Correctional Officer Training Academy (COTA). It has its headquarters in Downtown Phoenix.

The facility opened in December 2006 and has a working capacity of 1596 prisoners held at a medium security level. [2]

Before 2014, the facility had housed inmates from California, Alaska, Hawaii, and detainees of the U.S. Marshals Service. [3] Red Rock is adjacent to three other prisons also run by CCA: the Eloy Detention Center, the La Palma Correctional Facility, and the Saguaro Correctional Center.

The La Palma Correctional Facility is a privately owned and managed medium-security prison for men, located in Eloy, Pinal County, Arizona, under contract with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

The Saguaro Correctional Center (SCC) is a private prison for male inmates, owned and operated by the Corrections Corporation of America (CCA) located in Eloy, Pinal County, Arizona.
