Redemption Church, led by Ron Carpenter, is the largest non-denominational church in San Jose, California, United States. The original church has 14,000 members, with lesser numbers attending its five "branch" churches.
The church was founded in 1980 as Jubilee Worship Center by Dick Bernal. [1] In 1998, the church moved in a new building. [2] In 2000, they began a hip-hop worship service. [3]
In 2015 it was announced that Bishop Michael Pitts would be holding monthly revival meetings at the Church. He has known Pastor Dick Bernal since 1998 when he first preached at the annual "Thunder In the Bay" conference. [4] Formally known as Jubilee Worship Center, Dick Bernal was the founding pastor until 2018, when the Church changed its name to Redemption Church and Ron Carpenter became the Senior pastor.
In 2018, Carpenter announced that Pastors John and Aventer Gray, formerly of Lakewood Church would be taking over as Lead Pastors of Redemption's Greenville, South Carolina campus. In a surprising move, the Gray family announced shortly after that they were moving away from the Redemption brand and were renaming their church, with the Gray's as the senior pastors.
This set in motion a level of turmoil between Gray, Carpenter and their respective churches. In 2020, Carpenter and Redemption Church sought to evict Relentless Church from the church building due to Gray and his church not fulfilling the financial obligations of their lease of the building, at the time still owned by Redemption. [5] The matter was eventually confidentially settled out of court, but questions of ownership of the Greenville building are still with the courts. [6]
The Church of God in Christ (COGIC) is an international Holiness–Pentecostal Christian denomination, and the largest Pentecostal denomination in the United States. Although an international and multi-ethnic religious organization, it has a predominantly African American membership based within the United States. The international headquarters is in Memphis, Tennessee. The current Presiding Bishop is Bishop John Drew Sheard Sr., who is the Senior Pastor of the Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ of Detroit, Michigan. He was elected as the denomination's leader on March 27, 2021.
Charles Edward Blake Sr. is an American minister and pastor who served as the Presiding Bishop and leader of the Church of God in Christ, a 6 million-member Holiness Pentecostal denomination, that has now grown to become one of the largest predominantly African American Pentecostal denominations in the United States, from 2007 to 2021. On March 21, 2007, he became the Presiding Bishop of the Church of God in Christ, Inc., as a result of Presiding Bishop Gilbert E. Patterson's death. In a November 2007 special election, he was elected to complete the unexpired term of his predecessor as Presiding Bishop. In November 2008, Bishop Blake was re-elected to serve a four-year term as Presiding Bishop. In November 2012, Bishop Blake was re-elected again to serve a four-year term as the Presiding Bishop. He was reelected to a third term as Presiding Bishop on November 15, 2016. On October 23, 2020, Bishop Blake announced that he would not seek a re-election as Presiding Bishop nor as a member of the General Board and that he would retire from the Office of Presiding Bishop and from the General Board in 2021. He officially retired on March 19, 2021, and was succeeded by Bishop J. Drew Sheard, Sr. as Presiding Bishop on March 20, 2021.

Our Lady of La Vang Parish, formerly Saint Patrick Proto-Cathedral Parish, is a Vietnamese national parish and former cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of San Jose in California. The proto-cathedral is located in Downtown San José, one block north of San José State University. It is named after Our Lady of La Vang. The Daughters of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul sponsor St. Patrick Elementary School which is located on the church grounds.
Without Walls Central Church was a non-denominational evangelical Christian megachurch in Auburndale, Florida outside Lakeland co-founded by Paula and Randy White, in January 2004, when they were still married. It was under the auspices of Without Walls International Church, Tampa, Florida. The Church closed in 2011 and should not be confused with Without Walls Church, a ministry for the homeless also based in Tampa, Florida.

Commack United Methodist Church and Cemetery is a historic Methodist church meeting house and cemetery located at 486 Townline Road in Commack, Suffolk County, New York. It was built in 1789 and is a relatively large, two story, two bay shingled building with a broad, overhanging gable roof. It is the oldest Methodist church in New York State in continuous operation. The surrounding burial ground has graves dating to the 18th century.

He was consecrated as a bishop by the International Communion of Charismatic Churches in 2009.
