Reet Palm (since 2014 Palm-Killing; born on 14 September 1959 in Tartu) is an Estonian rower and coach. [1]

In 1978 she won bronze medal at World Rowing Championships. [1]

Between 1975 and 2007, she became an 18-times Estonian champion in different rowing disciplines. [1]

Since 1991 she has been working as a rowing coach. One of the rowers trained by her is Allar Raja. [1] Her spouse is the rowing coach Matti Killing. [1]

Formerly the head coach of men's crew at the University of California, Berkeley, he is a twelve-time U.S. national team member, three-time Olympian, a member of the world champion men's eight in 1987, and is a member of the U.S. National Rowing Hall of Fame as both an athlete and coach. He has served as the US Men's head coach since June 2018.

Emma Twigg is a New Zealand rower. A single sculler, she was the 2014 world champion and is set to compete in her fourth Olympics in Tokyo in July 2021. Previous Olympic appearances were in 2008, 2012, and 2016. She has retired from rowing twice, first for master-level studies in Europe in 2015 and then after the 2016 Olympics, disappointed at having narrowly missed an Olympic medal for the second time. After two years off the water, she started training again in 2018 and won silver at the 2019 World Rowing Championships. Since her marriage in 2020, she has become an outspoken advocate for LGBT athletes.

Yasmin Farooq is an American rowing cox and the head coach of the University of Washington women's rowing team. She graduated from Waupun High School in 1984 at Waupun, Wisconsin. She attended the University of Wisconsin where she joined the rowing team in 1984 as a coxswain. She was a member of the 1986 national champion JV eight and served as captain and MVP of the team her senior year.

Eve MacFarlane New Zealand rower

Eve Macfarlane is a New Zealand rower. Described as a "natural rower", she went to the 2009 World Rowing Junior Championships within a few months of having taken up rowing and won a silver medal. She represented New Zealand at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London as the country's youngest Olympian at those games. She was the 2015 world champion in the women's double sculls with Zoe Stevenson. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, they came fourth in the semi-finals and thus missed the A final.

Murder of Reet Jurvetson Canadian-American woman who was murdered in California in November 1969

Reet Silvia Jurvetson was a 19-year-old Canadian woman of Estonian descent who was murdered in California in November 1969. Her body remained unidentified for 46 years, until an online mortuary photograph was recognized by her family and friends in 2015. Prior to her identification, Jurvetson's body had been informally known as "Sherry Doe" and officially as "Jane Doe 59."
