Reha Erdem (born 1960 in Istanbul) [1] is a Turkish film director and screenwriter.

Biography

He attended Galatasaray High School and studied history at Boğaziçi University before leaving to study film in 1983. He obtained a B.A. in Cinema Studies and an M.A. in Plastic Arts from the University of Paris VIII.

Erdem's critical approach to masculinity gives him a unique place among the directors of new Turkish cinema. [2]

3rd Yeşilçam Awards

The 3rd Yeşilçam Awards, presented by the Turkish Foundation of Cinema and Audiovisual Culture (TÜRSAK) and Beyoğlu Municipality, honored the best Turkish films of 2009 and took place on March 23, 2010, at the Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Hall in Istanbul, Turkey. The Yeşilçam Award was the national film award of Turkey, which was presented annually by the Turkish Foundation of Cinema and Audiovisual Culture (TÜRSAK) and Beyoğlu Municipality from 2008 to 2011.
