Rembangan

Rembangan is a tourist attraction in Jember, East Java. Located at the foot of Mount Argopuro, the complex is known for its panoramic views and dragonfruit orchards.

Location and facilities

Rembangan is located approximately 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) north of Jember City, at the foot of Mount Argopuro. It consists of 13.45 hectares (33.2 acres) of land at an altitude of 650 metres (2,130 ft) above sea level. The average temperature is between 18 °C (64 °F) and 25 °C (77 °F). Administratively, it is part of Kemuning Lor Village, Arjasa District, Jember, East Java.^[1] The site is managed by the Jember regional government.^[2]

The road to Rembangan has many dragonfruit orchards along it.^[3] There are also several coffee plantations in the area, which are open to the public on working days.^[4]As of 2011^[update] there is no public transport to the peak, although motorcycles or cars can be rented for the journey.^[3] The road, with its many turns and sharp drops, is dangerous for large busses, and fatal accidents have occurred; one, in 2002, caused the deaths of 22 passengers.^[5]^[2]

In Rembangan there is a hotel, built during the Dutch colonial period, which has 41 rooms. The hotel and its environs, including a pool and gardens, are used for rest and relaxation. On the grounds of the hotel is a dragonfruit orchard with approximately 600 plants; the fruit may be picked, for a fee;^[3] the area's dragonfruit is among the most commons souvenirs bought there.^[2] The hotel provides accommodations for tourists as well as conferences, seminars, and workshops. Other facilities include a spring, for bathing.^[1]^[6]

The view from the peak is considered Rembangan's greatest attraction. Laili Damayanti of Tabloid Nova writes that the night-time view is the more popular one,^[3] and Icha Rahmanti of The Jakarta Post describes the view as "terrific".^[4]

History

During the 2012 Christmas holiday, Rembangan was one of Jember's most popular tourist attractions, together with Papuma Beach and the Sukorambi Botanical Garden.^[7]

In 2013 the Jember police, following up on complaints that temporary food kiosks on the road to Rembangan were being used for "immoral" ("asusila") activities, began removing these stalls.^[8]

It covers an area of 1,327.59 km², and had a population of 1,554,527 at the 2010 Census and 1,776,918 at the 2020 Census.

Banjarbaru is the capital city of South Kalimantan, one of the provinces in Indonesia. It is located 35 km (22 mi) southeast of Banjarmasin, the largest city of the province. The city had a population of 248,423 as of the 2017 Census, and the latest official population estimate is 262,719. Giri Tunggal Heroes' Cemetery is a cemetery in Semarang, Central Java. It contains the graves of military personnel and other persons deemed heroes by the Indonesian government, including the National Hero Albertus Soegijapranata. As of 2011 it has 1,843 interments.

The Sukorambi Botanical Garden is a botanical garden located in Sukorambi, Jember Regency, East Java, Indonesia.

Bandros or Bandung Tour Bus is a tour bus which operates in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. It is used by tourists in Bandung City. The bus was unveiled by the Mayor of Bandung, Ridwan Kamil, on New Year's Eve 2014, and on February 18th 2018 it was announced that a tour bus will serve the city's. A local tour leader will accompany tourists on the bus. Bandros is managed by two parties: the Department of Transportation in Bandung and Mang Dudung which forms part of Corporate Social Responsibility. Buses have a capacity of 22 people. There are six buses operated by the Corporate Social Responsibility division, and 12 buses operated by the Regional Revenue and Expenditures Budget which is managed by the BLUD UPT Angkutan Department of Transportation in Bandung.

Kampoeng Rawa is a tourist attraction located within the green belt around Lake Rawa Pening of Ambarawa in Central Java, Indonesia. Opened in August 2012, it is owned and operated by twelve groups of farmers and fishermen who were funded by the Artha Prima Credit Union. It is intended to improve the welfare of local farmers and fishermen while promoting an understanding of the lake's ecology. Facilities include a floating restaurant, pendopo, crafts centre, fishing area, and docks. During holidays the site may be visited by several thousand people. It has been challenged for its lack of permission to build in the green belt and the possible ecological impact.

Baturraden is a district in the Banyumas Regency on the slope of Mount Slamet, Central Java, Indonesia. It features panoramic views, waterfalls, a mini-train, paddleboats, a water slide, and a pool. Its name is derived from a legend about star-crossed lovers, a manservant (Batur) and noblewoman (Raden).

Pancuran Tujuh is a hot spring located on the slopes of Mount Slamet in Baturraden District, Banyumas, Central Java. Discovered, according to local legend, by a Muslim missionary known as Mbah Atas Angin, the hot spring and its sulfuric waters are considered to have healing properties.

Saka Tunggal Mosque is a mosque located in Cikakak, Banyumas, Central Java. Established in 1871, it is considered a Cultural Property of Indonesia. The complex is home to thousands of monkeys.

Teluk Penyu Beach is a brown sand beach in Cilacap, Central Java. Named for its former sea turtle population, the beach is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the area.

Ranu Pani or Ranupani is a volcanic lake in Ranu Pani Village, Senduro District, Lumajang Regency, East Java. Ranu Pani is part of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS). Initially, the area of Ranu Pani was around one hectare, but now it is estimated to be only 0.75 hectares due to the rapid sedimentation rate. The population of Ranu Pani is around 2,000 people.

She is known for her work in advocating for #ActYourThoughts orphanage programs. Chedid is the first delegate from Central Java to ever be crowned Puteri Indonesia Pariwisata. She represented Indonesia at the Miss Supranational 2021 pageant held in Poland, where she get crowned Miss Supranational Asia 2021, also won Miss Congeniality, Best National Costume and Miss Supra Fan-Vote award.

Tiara Anugrah Eka Setyo Andini, known professionally as Tiara Andini, is an Indonesian singer and actress. She was the runner-up of the tenth season of Indonesian Idol which was broadcast by RCTI in 2019–2020. In Idol, she was known as the girl who received a titanium ticket from one of the judges. She is the only titanium ticket recipient to ever make it through to the final round in the history of Indonesian Idol. She was awarded the "Best Newcomer" from 23rd Anugerah Musik Indonesia Awards, and "Best New Asian Artist Indonesia" from 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
