Remember Chek Jawa is a 47-minute documentary made on digital video by freelance cinematographer Eric Lin Youwei. It documents a biodiversity survey conducted in 2001, by a small group of volunteer conservationists, headed by botanist Joseph Lai, months before the Singapore government's reclamation project at Chek Jawa, Pulau Ubin. Chek Jawa is an inter-tidal area of about 1 square kilometre which supports a vast amount of plant and animal lives encompassing six ecosystems.
The volunteers' efforts were rewarded when the government agreed, in December 2001, to defer use of the Chek Jawa land for the next ten years.
The documentary is available as a DVD under Objectifs Films, available in the libraries under the National Library Board, Singapore.

The sandcrawler is a fictional transport vehicle in the Star Wars universe that is found on the desert planet Tatooine. The vehicle, as it appears in its major appearances in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, is 37 meters long and 18 meters tall. Only a 27-meter length of its lower hull was constructed as a set for the film. Other appearances were simulated with matte paintings and a remote-controlled model.
Pulau Ubin, also simply known as Ubin, is an island situated in the north east of Singapore, to the west of Pulau Tekong. The granite quarry used to be supported by a few thousand settlers on Pulau Ubin in the 1960s, but only about 40 villagers remained as of 2012. It is one of the last rural areas to be found in Singapore, with an abundance of natural flora and fauna. The island forms part of the Ubin–Khatib Important Bird Area (IBA), identified as such by BirdLife International because it supports significant numbers of visiting and resident birds, some of which are threatened. Today, the island is managed by the National Parks Board, compared to 12 agencies managing different areas of the island previously.
Tanjong Chek Jawa is a cape and the name of its 100-hectare wetlands located on the south-eastern tip of Pulau Ubin, an island off the north-eastern coast of the main island of Singapore. Chek Jawa is among the last few places left in Singapore with a natural rocky shore.

Pulau Sekudu, or Frog Island, is an islet located just off Chek Jawa on Pulau Ubin, Singapore. It lies in the Serangoon Harbour opposite Changi. Despite its proximity, it is only reachable by boat, even at low tides. One can see the islet directly opposite the Chek Jawa Visitor Centre.
Svay Chek is a district (srok) in the north of Banteay Meanchey province, in north-western Cambodia. The district capital is Svay Chek town located around 22 kilometres north of the provincial capital of Sisophon by road. The district shares a border with Thailand to the west. No national highway runs through the district but national road 56 from Sisophon to Samraong in Oddar Meanchey province crosses the district from north to south.
