Renate Stuurman (born 8 December 1978) is a South African actress. She has appeared in several South African television series, including 7de Laan, Isidingo and Scandal! , and in films such as Happiness is a four letter word , The Giver and The Prisoner.

Early life

Stuurman was born on 8 December 1978 in Cape Town, South Africa. [1] In 1999, she graduated with a degree in Drama from Rhodes University in Grahamstown. [2] She trained under playwright Andrew Buckland and choreographer Gary Gordon. After completing her studies, she relocated to Johannesburg to pursue an acting career. [2]

Stage and theatre

In 2016, Stuurman appeared alongside Paul Slabolepszy in the play Suddenly the Storm. In 2007, she received a Naledi Theatre Award nomination for Best Newcomer for her role in Some Girl(s). [4]
