Renee Charmaine Bull (born February 24, 1993, in Dover) is an American beauty pageant titleholder. She was first Runner-Up at Miss Delaware 2012 and a Top 11 Finalist at Miss Delaware 2013. She was crowned Miss Delaware USA 2015 and represented her state at Miss USA 2015 where she became the first delegate from her state to place in the semifinals, finishing in the Top 11.
In June 2012, Bull entered the Miss America system's Miss Delaware pageant as Miss Blue Gold. [1] She ran on a platform of "Mitigating Violence" and performed a lyrical dance during the talent competition. [1] [ dead link ] Bull was honored with both the Miss Congeniality and Miss Spirit awards and won the swimsuit portion of the competition at the statewide pageant. [2] [3] On June 16, she was announced as first runner-up to winner Alyssa Murray. [2]
In June 2013, Bull competed for the Miss Delaware crown again, this time as Miss Atlantic Coast. [4] [5] She ran on a platform of "Mentorship: The Power of One" and performed an interpretive dance of a Maya Angelou poem for the talent portion of the competition. In November 2014, Bull entered the Miss USA system's Miss Delaware USA pageant. She was crowned Miss Delaware USA 2015 at the state pageant in Wilmington on November 30, 2014. [8] She is the second African American woman to be crowned Miss Delaware USA but the first to actually hold on to the title. [7] Another African American woman, Renee Smith, won the title in 1991, but was forced to resign just after winning. [9]
Bull represented her home state of Delaware at the Miss USA 2015 where she became the first woman from her state of Delaware to place in the Top 15, becoming the last state to ever place in the competition effectively ending the "Delaware Curse" and eventually finished in the Top 11. The eventual winner was Olivia Jordan of Oklahoma. [8] [10] [11] During the pageant Bull and Miss Alaska also made history by becoming the first two delegates to tie for Miss Congeniality.
In August 2011, Bull led a group of Appoquinimink High students to win the Delaware Girls Initiative competition with a plan to "Promote Peace Now" by using peer interaction and intervention to prevent bullying. [12] Her group, dubbed Prominent Leaders, won a $3,000 grant to implement their plans across the state. [13]
In 2014, Bull launched a non-profit organization called Girls to Girls, which assists young women to overcome poor self-image and low self-esteem. [8] [9]
Bull was born in Dover and raised in Middletown, the middle of seven children. [7] She is a 2011 Graduate of Appoquinimink High School in Middletown. [12] [14] Before her scholarship pageant win, Bull attended Delaware Technical Community College. [11]

Miss Delaware serves as the official hostess to the state of Delaware. In 2023, the pageant announced that it will be held at Harrington Raceway & Casino in Harrington.

Middletown High School is a public high school located in Middletown, Delaware, United States. It is one of three high schools in the Appoquinimink School District and serves students grades 9–12. It was previously located in what is now the Everett Meredith Middle School building. Originally opened in 1997, the current facility added a two-story wing in the summer of 2002, and an expansion of its cafeteria/lobby to create extra capacity.
Miss USA 2015 was the 64th Miss USA pageant, held at the Raising Cane's River Center Arena in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on July 12, 2015. All fifty states and the District of Columbia competed. Nia Sanchez of Nevada crowned her successor Olivia Jordan of Oklahoma at the end of the event. This was Oklahoma's first Miss USA title in the pageant's history.

At the conclusion of the event, Meghan Miller of Texas crowned her successor Maria DeSantis of New York. The pageant was hosted by Miss America 2006 Jennifer Berry and N'SYNC singer Joey Fatone.

This was the first time that Miss Oklahoma's Outstanding Teen captured the title of Miss America's Outstanding Teen. Miss America 2010 Caressa Cameron hosted the pageant.
Brittany Lee Lewis is an activist, television personality, political commentator, disc jockey (DJ), Miss Delaware 2014, and Miss Black America 2017. She is a native of Brigantine, New Jersey. Lewis was crowned the 49th Miss Black America in 2017 and she competed in the Miss America Pageant as Miss Delaware in 2014. She is also a regular commentator on RT News, Roland Martin Show, Fox5DC, and various Sinclair Broadcasting programs.
Miss USA 2020 was the 69th Miss USA pageant. It was held at the Exhibition Centre and the Soundstage at Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee, on November 9, 2020. Akbar Gbaja-Biamila and Allie LaForce served as hosts, while Cheslie Kryst and Christian Murphy served as backstage commentators, and Haley Reinhart performed. Cheslie Kryst of North Carolina crowned Asya Branch of Mississippi as her successor at the end of the event. Branch is the second consecutive African American to win the title, and the fourth one in five years. This is Mississippi's first win at the Miss USA pageant. Branch represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2020 pageant and placed in the Top 21.
