General elections were held in Nepal on 15 November 1994 to elect the Nepal House of Representatives. The election took place after the previous Nepali Congress government collapsed and King Birenda called new elections. The results showed that the Communist Party of Nepal won the most seats in the House of Representatives and Man Mohan Adhikari became Prime Minister at the head of a minority government.

President of Nepal has granted pardon on 28 May 2023,to be released on 29 May 2023 on the occasion of Republic Day.
Yogesh Bhattarai is a Nepali politician currently serving as a member of Parliament in the House of Representatives from Taplejung constituency since 2017. Bhattarai is currently in his second term as secretary of CPN-UML. He has previously also served as Minister of Culture,Tourism and Civil Aviation.

Witch-hunts are still occurring in Nepal in the twenty-first century,and the persecution of marginalised individuals of the community,especially women,still persists. Witchcraft is believed to be the exercise of supernatural powers by witches. Although Nepal does not have a recorded history of systematic witch-hunts,belief in the supernatural,magic,and humans capable of exploiting both to do good or harm is pervasive. In many instances,witch-hunts are simply tribal scapegoating measures carried out to serve ulterior motives,such as getting revenge or winning property disputes.

The Minister of Land Management,Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation is the head of the Ministry of Land Management,Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation of the Government of Nepal. One of the senior-most officers in the Federal Cabinet,the minister is responsibility to establish good governance by upgrading judicial access,feeling of security of land ownership,and effectiveness of service effluence in country.
