Resmi Sateesh is a playback singer [1] and actor from Kerala predominantly known for her songs in the Malayalam films. [2] She has also acted in the movie 22 Female Kottayam [3] and worked as location sound recordist for the movie 'Makaramanju' directed by Lenin Rajendran. [4]

Early life and education

Resmi satheesh.jpg Born in Parassala, [5] Reshmi studied classical music from the age of six under the tutelage of Muthiah Bhagavathar from Tamil Nadu after her music studies under Alleppey Sreekumar. She has also studied "Audiography" at the Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute in Calcutta. She holds B.Sc. in physics masters in Social Work from the University of Calicut. She is also known for her stage performance and has performed at several international events including Kochi-Muziris Biennale [6]

V. P. Khalid, also known as Cochin Nagesh was an Indian Malayalam film actor and theatre artist. Khalid was a member of several professional drama troupes. In 1973, he made his movie debut through Periyar directed by P. J. Antony. He rose to fame among the television audience for his role as ‘Sumeshettan’ in Malayalam series Marimayam, aired in Mazhavil Manorama. He died on 25 June 2022 at a film location in Vaikom after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Satheesh Babu Payyannur was a Malayalam–language short story writer and novelist from Kerala, India. His works include the novels Mannu, Daivappura, Manja Sooryante Naalukal and Kudamanikal Kilungiya Raavil, and the short story collections Peramaram, Vrishchikam Vannu Vilichu and Mazhayilundaya Makal. His oeuvre consists of 12 novels and around 200 short stories. The collection Peramaram won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Story in 2012. He received the Karoor Award, Malayattoor Award, and Thoppil Ravi Award. He was also a media personality and has written, directed and produced television programmes, telefilms, and documentaries.
