Frank Hsieh Chang-ting is a Taiwanese politician and former defense attorney. A cofounder of the Democratic Progressive Party, he has served on the Taipei City Council, the Legislative Yuan, as the mayor of Kaohsiung City, and as the Premier of the Republic of China under president Chen Shui-bian. Hsieh was the DPP nominee in the 2008 presidential election and was defeated by Ma Ying-jeou. Hsieh is currently the head of the Association of Taiwan-Japan Relations.

Eight Thousand Li of Cloud and Moon is a Taiwanese television series based on the life of Yue Fei, a Song dynasty general widely regarded as a patriot and national hero in Chinese culture for his role in the Jurchen campaigns against the Song dynasty. The Chinese title of the series comes from a line in Man Jiang Hong, a patriotic poem commonly attributed to Yue Fei. The series was first aired on CTS in Taiwan from 21 November 1988 to 13 January 1989.

One Armed Swordsman Against Nine Killers (獨臂拳王勇戰楚門九子) is a 1976 Chinese film starring Jimmy Wang Yu. Although the film stars Jimmy Wang Yu as the one-armed swordsman, it has no connection to the 1967 film One-Armed Swordsman and its sequel the 1969 film Return of the One-Armed Swordsman.
